Today I stopped at the Lowe’s in West St. Paul after seeing on Facebook that they were giving away Lowe’s magnets. I thought they were pretty cool and wanted one for my refrigerator.
They also had a few other giveaways and a prize wheel, which I completely understand. It’s a game, and you get what you land on. That’s part of the fun!
What was a little frustrating, though, was watching other customers get to choose which prize they wanted, only to have my prize determined by what I landed on. I was really hoping to get one of those magnets.
This isn’t about complaining over a free giveaway. It’s more about consistency and customer service. If customers are being allowed to choose their prizes, it would be nice for everyone to be treated the same way.
I also think customer service is something we need to keep teaching and encouraging, especially with younger people entering the workforce. Nobody starts a job knowing everything, and learning how to communicate with customers, show kindness, and treat people consistently is an important part of any job. A small interaction can make a bigger difference than we realize.
I’ll still shop at Lowe’s. I buy plants there all the time, and one disappointing experience isn’t going to change that. I just think these little moments are opportunities to make someone’s day a little better.
Sometimes, it’s not about the prize. It’s about how you’re treated along the way.

I can't begin to say how frustrated and angry I am.
Sept 15 I purchased a fridge and dishwasher.i was given a delivery date and immediately the dishwasher date was pushed out a week.
The fridge came... DAMAGED..fridge doors were reversed to the layout of my kitchen and when I mentioned it they shrugged their shoulders and left and dropped packaging behindcausing me to have to clean up after them
Now...the dishwasher was rescheduled 3 times forcing me to have to arrange my plans. So here it is 1 month after my purchase and I still don't have my dishwasher but what I do have is the charges for it.how dare them make me pay for something I don't have yet.how does a business survive with actions such as this. There lio service to me was I'm sorry or I understand we were over capacity. How is that my fault.if you missed 2vof my delivery dates you should have made sure I was on the next one. So now my date is for 10/15 how do I trust Terrible Terrible Terrible
And then to add insult to injury I've spent way too much time on the phone because their phone system sucks to talk to a human.
Should have read reviews first as I see they have very low ratings with same complaints I have. Huh I guess it says it in their name LOWes....fruedian slip or buyer beware.

Good customer service for an online pick up of a lot of vinyl siding. Staff inside the door guided us to the pick up area very nicely. Check in was kind of confusing, we didn't show up on the queue, but it didn't take long for a staff member to come up, let us know they'd meet us at the canopy pickup, and they brought it right out. Really convenient.

Received a Lowes delivery delivered to the wrong address. I called the number on the label, which turned out to be the West St. Paul, MN store. Their AI assistant couldn't help me since they did not have an order from my phone number. I asked to talk to a person. Never had anyone answer. I guess I won't be buying from Lowes. So much for wasting time trying to be helpful!
I did call the phone number they supplied. More time wasted by AI that is not robust enough to be helpful. Just more interference. I guess next time I won't bother.
