  Don’t waste your money purchasing a lighting installation service from this store if you live within at least a 20-mile radius. Based on my experience, Lowe’s may not actually have anyone available to perform the service. I paid for a light installation that was outsourced through Thumbtack. The initial request was cancelled almost immediately because they couldn’t locate a “pro.” I then spent three weeks being told Lowe’s was still trying to find someone to complete an installation that I had already paid for. Despite eventually working with executive customer service, the outcome was still a refund and an apology because Lowe’s could not fulfill the service. This all started when I placed an order that included store pickup items, shipped items, and a third-party installation service. The transaction was repeatedly flagged as fraud (USING MY LOWE’S CC), resulting in cancellations, phone calls, and reorders. What should have been a simple purchase became unnecessarily complicated. I understand that Synchrony bank was just doing their thing, but the Lowe’s processing on the back end of things caused all of this. They can’t or won’t find the root cause and actually fix it, because it WILL happen again to others. To make matters worse, Lowe’s shipped me two extra light fixtures that I never ordered. I honestly reported the mistake and then had to coordinate the pickup of merchandise that was sent to me in error, adding even more time and effort on my end. I have never experienced such a complicated and frustrating series of problems from a single order. Between the payment issues, duplicate shipments, and paying for an installation that Lowe’s ultimately could not provide, this experience has caused me to lose confidence in shopping here.

  Lowe's hardware store is the best!! We needed a new lawnmower .. so for political reasons... (I'm boycotting Menard's, Home Depot, Walmart, Target, Amazon..) we went to Lowe's even if the others had cheaper prices. Anyway, we bought a battery powered Ego.. and unfortunately it turned out to be defective machine. So we took it back today... I went cause I'm better at arguing.. which is what i expected I'd have to do. To our great surprise... and with the help of J. R., Lowe's employee .. got an exchange with absolutely no problem and a smile... and said if this doesn't work bring it back.. I'm totally impressed with Lowes!!

The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I’m extremely satisfied with the service and highly recommend shopping here. You won’t be disappointed!

  We had a fantastic experience at this store! John, the assistant manager, went above and beyond trying to help us with an issue of installing the refrigerator I had just bought at the store. He sent a customer service representative, Todd, directly to my house to fix an issue which prevented the installers from disconnecting my old fridge and connecting a new one. Due to a family situation, everything had to be done within 1 or 2 days, but the problem was dealt with immediately! Todd was very professional, respectful, polite and knowledgeable! He fixed the issue in no time and made the entire process go smoothly. I've never experienced such a level of customer service! It was a genuine team effort, a perfect example of the ABOVE and BEYOND reproach this store seems to be abiding by. It was our first purchase at the store but we'll definitely be back!

  Absolute horrible store incapable of assisting older folks with buying plants in the garden department. There were about six to ten employees walking around, having conversations with others, and unable to recognize a person standing in front of them. If your thing is to be ignored as a customer then Lowe’s in Shakopee Mn is your kind of place. I needed assistance with plants and basically had to go in spaces where o ly employees are allowed to enter to interrupt and seek help. I asked for an associate of the business to help me find a certain kind of plant due to limited sight on my part. I was informed she had two associates on break and she was not sure if that was a lunch break or other. I was asked to sit in the outdoor furniture section and someone would be there shortly to assist me.. she speared to be incompetent to do as she promised because 9 associates passed by me in twenty minutes utes and mo one offered to help! So I am unable to see properly and sought assistance but no assistance ever came my way. I guess the two that were on an extended breaks stayed on break so I left for the competitors establishment with a hope I would be a valued customer where assistance would be provided for a senior citizen with special needs’ never ever will I snipe here again. Age discrimination and non handicapped appliance! Beware of a store that is too busy to help with the needs of customers even though there appeared to be overstaffed to the point where employees were everywhere but no one could take the time to help!
