  Chimney Doctors placed a brand new cap on my chimney and treated the exterior with ChimneySaver Water Repellent. Overall, I am happy with my new cap. However, when applying the water repellent, they sprayed right over moss and spiderwebs. When I inquired, the tech returned to clean off the chimney and reapply the repellant. The tech informed us that they don't usually do that kind of prep work. I would have appreciated that information prior to the appointment so I could have hired someone else who does do that kind of prep work. I am doubting the quality of the cap installation - perhaps no prep work was done to ensure a proper installation. It doesn't make sense to me that you wouldn't prepare the brick prior to applying the repellent - that's like staining a deck without cleaning the mud off of it first. What good is the water repellant when it inevitably kills the moss and leaves an unprotected area exposed? Maybe it doesn't matter but it wasn't explained to me. Next time, I will look elsewhere or maybe even try to do it myself.

  Jorge and his parter did an absolutely amazing job! We had a crumbling concrete chimney cap that looked terrible and they got it fixed very quickly! The look now is beyond anything I thought it would be! Fast, efficient and polite. I would pick them again 10 out of 10 times!

  Trace was amazing to work with. He did a thorough inspection, inside and out. He explained and showed up with photos of the issues, what caused them and how to fix and/or prevent future damage to our chimney. When we make the decision to get it fixed, we will be calling Trace at Chimney Doctors! I wouldn’t trust anyone else….especially after having experienced less than thorough and professional inspections and quotes. 10 out of 10!!!

  The inspection of our built-in fireplace by chimney doctors exceeded our expectations. The service technician, Ryan McGonigal, showed a very high degree of expertise and attention to detail. We appreciated being able to join in on the video inspection of our chimney and an explanation of how best to use our fireplace while avoiding creosote buildup. Great job!

  I am very pleased with the work that Chimney Doctors completed today. The chimney on my 1904 home exhibited significant wear and was of increasing interest to squirrels as a possible nesting site. Hal did a thorough job examining the chimney and the vent to my water heater and he provided several options for repair. His explanations were clear and he quickly answered follow-up questions. Finn and his crew completed the work today, removing the external chimney and adding a new venting system for the water heater. They did a great job and made sure that my property was protected and the site was cleaned up before they left. I highly recommend this firm.
