I had an excellent experience with Extra Space Storage Shelby! Michele and Brandon were absolutely wonderful, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. They took the time to answer my questions, made sure everything went smoothly, and provided outstanding customer service.
The facility is clean, secure, well-maintained, and easy to access, which made me feel confident about storing my belongings here. Michele and Brandon truly went above and beyond to make the experience stress-free and welcoming.
Exceptional customer service makes all the difference, and Michele and Brandon definitely delivered! I highly recommend Extra Space Storage Shelby and absolutely give this location 5 stars!

I had a very poor experience with Extra Space Storage. The price increases were out of control—it got to the point where they wanted $70 per month for a second floor 5×5 storage unit, which just isn’t worth it. The entry gates were almost always broken, the elevators were frequently out of service, both units that I had moved my belongings into during my time here had issues with the locks and would not close properly and there were never enough flatbed carts available. On top of that, customer service wasn’t very helpful whenever I needed assistance. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this facility based on my experience.

The building itself is good. It's the company that is the problem. Great price until you are renting then the rent more than doubles after 2 months. The rent for a 5x10 unit started at $30, on the third month it went up to $74.
EDITED: ADDED 2 STARS BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION MANAGER. The manager from this location contacted me and reduced my rate. I had emailed the company previously and was told I didn't qualify for any discounts. She must have had to do some digging to find my contact info. I told her I would amend the review. She told me that is not why she contacted me and I didn't have to. But I feel like she deserved the recognition and my thanks.
