So I purchased a washer and dryer around Labor Day this year and the appliances were delivered. My first issue is that I paid over $1k for these appliances and was supposed to get free installation, which didn’t happen and I was left to install the appliances by myself. After installing the washer and dryer the washer functions as it should, but the dryer was making a very loud buzzing noise and I requested an exchange. Lowe’s sent out a replacement dryer and I powered on the first dryer to recreate the buzzing sound for the associates before unplugging it and having them haul the faulty one away. The second dryer was installed by the associates and it did not power on. The technician went behind the dryer to check the cables when the dryer short circuited and tripped power to my entire house. I could not initially get power restored to my house and the associates that made the delivery were very helpful and called their dispatch to see what they could do to help me. The dispatcher told the associates that I was going to have to hire an electrician myself to fix the power and she gave the associates a 5 minute time window before they had to basically abandon me with a faulty appliance and no power. I showed the associates the outdoor breaker box and after some messing with the breakers, power was restored to the house and an exchange was set up for a third dryer to come. The third dryer got delivered this morning and the associates hooked up the appliance and it didn’t power on, again. So I called customer service about potential property damage caused by their faulty appliances and I was transferred to Whirlpool because apparently Lowe’s can’t do anything to help fix the damage they potentially caused. Every delivery associate was extremely helpful and kind, the customer service however is abysmal.
