No one around. And those that were just didn’t do anything. Had to wait over 10 minutes to finally get someone to help make a key. Then had to wait again for someone to help with getting a gallon of paint. Where are the women employees when you need them? They get stuff done. And it’s not like the store is busy. Sigh.

If I could leave zero I would. Mgr Rachael refused to tell me the District Managers name when requested. Absolutely no sense of customer service. Never ever count on Lowes for anything. They 3rd party all services and take no responsibility. Claiming they have no control over 3rd party services they contract their work to. Absolutely insane! Her answer is to call the 800 customer service telephone number. No longer their problem once they make the sale.
Do not shop Lowes in Petoskey!

The lady in the paint department was rude. She clearly had more important things to do than help me with my paint needs. She mixed the epoxy floor paint wrong and when I called her out on it she said she “used the correct formula”. I should have refused it but at that point I was running late and since it was for a garage floor I didn’t sweat it. When I asked to see wall paint for the garage it was so inconvenient for her that she said “I’ve got a lot of other things I need to get done”. Apparently it was inventory time so the customer comes last. Way last. I wish I would have gotten her name so I could call it out here. She was just awful.
I’m giving two points only because there were two men in different departments that were quite helpful.
When I was leaving a few workers were out in the parking lot collecting carts so after I loaded my car with $400 worth of stuff I asked the female if she wanted to take my cart as she was walking by. She said “well, I was going to get the flat carts now, but okay.” She could have just said “sure- thanks”, but she had to be a smart ass. Earlier I heard her complaining about her job with another employee.
What’s happening at Lowe’s? Why are your (mainly female) employees so miserable? My guess is poor management. Do better! I hate to go back to Home Depot.

It's been about a week or so since I've been there but I purchased an exterior door. And the girl in that department was fantastic. How helpful you ask? So helpful that she even called my phone about 20 minutes later, before I could even get out of the parking lot, to make sure that I had all the items I needed since she didn't personally pull my order for the pro desk pickup. That's service that practically doesn't exist anymore. That girl needs a management position!!
