  We spent over $5,000 with Pristine Pool & Spa on new equipment and service roughly six months ago, so this review is disappointing to write. Unfortunately, our experience after the sale left us feeling that long-term customer relationships were not given much consideration and also feeling as if business leadership isn’t focused on thoughtful solution engineering when it comes to pools and spas. Our equipment and pool are attractions at a lodge property with guests regularly on-site, so equipment downtime directly impacts the guest experience. When our unit went into ignition lockout due to a bad ignitor earlier this spring, we called their service department first, as advised. We were told the earliest service appointment was five days out, and that did not include potential shipping time if the part was not already in stock. Given the nature of our business and active guests on the property, that turnaround time was difficult for us to accommodate. Because the issue appeared to be isolated to the ignitor, we considered it a relatively routine maintenance repair and replaced the ignitor ourselves in order to get the equipment back online quickly. The unit resumed operating normally afterward. Later, we called regarding a separate concern related to the ventilation work performed on our gas heater. During that conversation, we were informed that replacing the ignitor ourselves impacted our warranty coverage. A diagnostic on the unit the same day showed everything operational and normal. The determination was communicated without a service call, inspection of the equipment, or consultation from a technician. There did not appear to be any effort to evaluate the equipment in person before warranty support was declined. What made the situation more frustrating was that we could not find warranty service language or policy information on the company’s website explaining that replacing an ignitor would impact warranty coverage. We also were unable to determine whether there were any service response-time expectations or repair turnaround commitments associated with the warranty itself. For a company selling and servicing expensive pool equipment we were caught off guard by the absence of initiative to problem solve with a customer, and seemingly quick revoke of warranty on uninspected equipment and subsequent offer for a paid service call. The installation work itself was fine, but the post-sale support and handling of this situation left us disappointed and we were surprised to feel this way from an experience with a business in this community.

  This company has been a reliable professionally run organization. They are highly responsive and reasonably priced for a high level of service. They really care about my pool and hot tub like it’s their own. I would recommend this to friends and family.

  We had a 20 year old indoor concrete pool which Pristine pool & Spa made look brand new with new colored plaster, accent tile, drain covers and water features. They also replaced old sand filters with new cartridge filters and many old, leaky valves. The entire process was lengthy but worth every minute and every penny. The entire process was made seamless with their operations manager Lex keeping us informed of next steps throughout. Everyone on both the construction crew and the maintenance crew were helpful and pleasant. This company went above and beyond our expectations to make our pool beautiful and safe and last for many years of enjoyment.
