They make you do their job for them. There are only two cashiers in the entire store. They do their most to make sure they direct you towards the self-checkouts. And when you asked about it they get super snotty.

We ordered a bathroom sink & vanity online from a Lowe’s fulfillment center. It had some defects from the manufacturer. So, we returned it to the Ludington Lowe’s to exchange for a new one. My husband had already installed the new faucet before we noticed the defects. We couldn’t figure out how to remove it. So, we took it in to the return desk & everyone from the return desk, the manager, and any other employees we encountered were so helpful and nice. I was worried returning and exchanging was gonna be an issue and it wasn’t at all. They helped us get the faucet off & made the exchange super easy. Awesome customer service!!!

Lowe’s has always had great products and great employees working the isles. If you are considering using their contract services, however, I could not more highly recommend that you reconsider. One of the worst experiences I have had with contract work. It is a bad sign when the driver delivering your new windows and doors tells you they are probably not the right size and you’re likely in for a ride. And he was spot-on. The installer and crew that arrived the next day said they could make them work with some extra materials provided from Lowe’s, otherwise it would likely be another 6 months to a year before I could get new products delivered and the crew scheduled. Foolishly, I agreed to this, for the sake of getting our project completed, allowing the crew to work the scheduled 3 days, and to save Lowe’s some money. But after the windows and doors were in, Lowe’s was not so eager to provide the extra trim materials, which led to a month-long battle. Once I succeeded in acquiring the trim, it was another month before the small box of caulk arrived. I was then ushered to the bottom of the work order waiting list, another 2 months out! Two days ago the installer called and said a project he was on in my town was finished early and he could be out to finish the job, which would take less than a day. But then yesterday he called again and said the schedulers would not allow him to do that. My 88yr old mother has spent the last 3 months with open holes with exposed insulation in her bedroom, as well as 5 other rooms in the house. Due to her dementia, I get to answer the question as to why this is more times per day than I care to count. Dozens of phone calls to various customer service lines and WAY too much time on hold. Another month and a half to go. This is one veteran and his family that Lowe’s has let down and left hanging.
Update: Ironically, the “help” link provided by Lowe’s in response to this review does not work, much like all my phone calls to customer service.
Yesterday I got a call from Contract Services informing me that the installer would be out two days from now to finish up the work order, but the installer said this was news to him. After an additional 28 minutes on hold with Contract Services they informed me it was indeed a mistake. So at this point I believe they’re just toying with me.

My experience at the Ludington Lowe’s store is always good. Friendly employees, who are helpful and knowledgeable. But recently we had a large order scheduled for delivery, through the Lowe’s store. Order was confirmed with 4 hour window on a specific date. No show, no call and no help from the delivery people. Finally get someone to talk to, and they say it’s being assembled? Soooo……why didn’t someone call to say they wouldn’t be there? Seriously! I will not ever order through the store again for delivery.
Online only, comes via Fed Ex or UPS. Who are way more reliable.
