Greater Lansing Food Bank's Garden Project Resource Center is open seasonally, from mid-April through June. (Open by appointment July - October.)
What’s at the Resource Center?
Besides helpful staff and volunteers who can answer your gardening questions, we offer registered, income-eligible and community gardeners:
- Free seeds (up to 25 packets per year)
- Free weekly vegetable seedlings (transplants); quantities depend on supply
- Free tool lending of standard garden tools for two weeks at a time
- Free lending of canning equipment and food preservation supplies
- Educational booth with gardening and cooking info: books, magazines, workshops
- Also, a great opportunity to meet other gardeners, get advice, or volunteer
