  Purchased a $1,100 Sealy Hagerstown Plush from Gardner White in Howell less than 1.5 years ago, and it suffered internal coil failure shortly after delivery. I started hearing snapping and popping noises, and the center developed a severe sinkhole over time. Placing just two 5 lb. weights causes the middle to plunge several inches into a crater far below the surface horizon. Because of this structural collapse, I’ve been forced to sleep on the very outer edges of the mattress for months, resulting in intense pain and severe sleep disruption. As a diabetic, this has also negatively impacted my blood sugar management. When I reached out for warranty support, customer service hid behind an "unweighted" surface measurement loophole rather than addressing a clear internal defect. While the sales reps were friendly at purchase, the lack of backing for defective products is appalling. This isn't about preferring a different style; it's about a high-end mattress failing structurally in under 18 months and the store refusing to stand behind what they sell. I know I am not the only customer experiencing this issue, and if Gardner White refuses to offer a fair reselection or credit, I will be escalating this matter formally with regulatory consumer protection bodies and exploring collective options with other affected buyers out of necessity. Avoid buying mattresses here! Seems they are of lower quality and Gardner White won’t stand behind the products they sell. We had also purchased a La-Z-Boy recliner later and that chair left stains on the carpet from the wood finish.

  Awesome experience! I was just beginning to look at bedroom furniture. I’m the kind of person who does research online and goes into stores and sees what’s available and checks pricing and shops for weeks before purchasing anything. But when I met Ethan, he knew exactly what I needed. I’m a senior citizen and I’ve just moved into a small apartment. My current bedroom set didn’t fit. He guided me through the story and showed me several selections. He helped me pick out a mattress, a pillow, and finally a bedroom set and instead of saying goodbye I’ll let you know when I’m ready. I purchased everything on the spot. Great job. I would recommend Ethan at Gardner White and Howell Michigan to anyone is looking for new furniture.

  My husband and I had a great experience shopping today, along with Joey’s assistance at the Howell location. He greeted us when we came in, showed us items we were interested in, and then let us peruse as we wanted. He was congenial, helpful, and not pushy in any way. We left with a sale and we’re very pleased with our experience.
