Here is an advise for everyone. Don't bother buying a protection plan on any item from lowes. It's literally the same as the manufacturer warranty. I've bought a lawn mower from Lowe's. 5 weeks later it stopped mowing. They wouldn't return it because its past 30 days. When i filed a claim with the lowe's protection plan they referred me to the manufacturer and said there is nothing more they can fo. I paid a $130 for a protection plan that is useless. Beware, it's a scam

Subject: Complaint Regarding Poor Customer Service at Lowe’s Allen Park, Michigan
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally complain about the poor customer service I received at the Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Allen Park, Michigan, on June 6, 2026, at approximately 7:15 p.m., in the garden/landscaping checkout area.
During my visit, I purchased several plant pots and pot inserts. The cashier assisting me, whom I understand is named London, appeared distracted throughout the transaction. While serving me, she was engaged in a personal phone conversation and paid very little attention to me as a customer.
When she asked whether I was using a credit card, I informed her that I was using a debit card and began entering the required information. However, she rushed through the transaction so quickly that I was not given a reasonable opportunity to review or select my receipt preferences. In my experience, Lowe’s cashiers normally allow customers to choose whether they would like a printed receipt, an emailed receipt, or both. I wanted both options, but the transaction was completed before I had a chance to make that selection.
When I informed her that she had gone too fast and that I had not been given enough time to complete the process properly, she dismissively told me that the transaction was finished and that I could leave. I found this response unprofessional and disrespectful.
I then requested to speak with a manager. Unfortunately, the initial manager did not appear to understand the nature of my concern and asked whether I wanted to return the items I had purchased. My complaint was not about the products; it was about the poor customer service I had received.
Because I felt my concerns were not being taken seriously, I requested to speak with someone at a higher management level. Although I was told that the matter would be addressed with the cashier, the response and apology appeared superficial and did not give me confidence that the issue would be handled appropriately.
I have been a Lowe’s customer for many years and have historically chosen Lowe’s because of its superior customer service. It is disappointing to see a decline in the level of professionalism and customer care that once distinguished your stores. Customers deserve employees who are attentive, respectful, and focused on serving them—not engaged in personal conversations while conducting transactions.
I respectfully request that this incident be reviewed and that appropriate steps be taken to reinforce professional customer service standards at the Allen Park store.
