I am writing to share our wonderful experience with Northern Pool and Spa company, who recently built our pool.
They did an amazing job from start to finish. When the team showed up, they worked very hard and fast. Whenever we had any issues and contacted them,we always had received an immediate response. It was a very professional job well done and the staff is very helpful and professionally organised.
We are very happy with the results and recommend this company 100%.

I hired Northern Pool and Spa for a pool opening at a new property. I have since been informed after the fact (and after the incredibly expensive invoice for 30 minutes of time) that a "pool opening" does not actually include opening the pool, or preparing it to be used for the season.
I was present during the entire service appt. The two staff members that were here were very nice and pleasant. The services performed include turning the pump on, pouring in chemicals that I was charged additionally for, and answering a few questions I asked about the pool set up. I was billed just under $500.
In their initial appointment email it says "Please allow your pool to run normally for 3 days and if it is still green or it seems that your filter is not working properly, please let us know." I called back after following their directions to let them know and I was met with defensiveness and inflexibility. I was told a pool opening only involves setting up the equipment and pouring the chemicals in. (The equipment was already set up in my circumstance.) They refused to come back and look at it. I tried some of their suggestions and called back when it still did not clear up again a few days later. Again the service manager just responded with hostility and frustration. "This is why we don't take new clients!" they told me. I had to spend even more money on additional chemicals over the next few weeks and used another pool company that was very helpful to me in getting it up and running.
Despite many attempts to get Northern Pool and Spa to remedy the situation, either with service or with a discount considering they did not have to do the normal service procedures, they refused to work with us at all and just repeatedly sent us the same $500 invoice.
I do not recommend this company to anyone unless you have money to throw away. As a life long Mainer, this is some of the worst customer service I have ever received with the exception being the two men who came to perform the actual service who were very kind.
I have tried to reason with the service manager over the last month, but they would not hear it, so this is all I can do at that point, leave a review and try to save others the trouble.
These are before and after pictures of the pool that I had sent to them.

We had some tiles missing on our pool. We contacted Northern pool and spa. They sent a qualified and hard-working technician over. He ground out the old grout cemented in the new tiles and now it looks as good as new. Professional service at its best.

Northern Pool and Spa did exactly what they said they would do. They took out the old pool pump and installed the new one. With the high cost to install I’m surprised they never even tested it before they left. I had the breaker off and all they had to do was turn it on. So when I got home I had to prime the water through the filter and pump of my inground pool. I then noticed the new pump pipe was leaking. However, when I did contact them they did come out to fix it in two days so that was nice of them.
