We’ve been patronizing this establishment for the last 6 years. Today, I had the worst experience there ever with Robbie. After my awful experience, I called in to the store, asking for the store manager, Robbie said “he” was the manager. I went into the store having our pool water tested, as we do every summer. The third, the first thing I noticed was the associate at the counter had dark sunglasses on and had a very dismissive or carefree attitude about them. Robbie did not ask me what I needed, he just took my water bottle and walked away. I presumed he was going to test the water and informed him I was just going to look around the store for a minute. He just granted. When I came back to get my water results, he handed me the paper and I let him know. I would see what chemicals I had at home before I made a purchase. I exited the store, ran an errand, and spoke with my husband about what chemicals we did and did not have via the phone. I then realized I needed several chemicals so I went right back to the pool store. Robbie already seemed out of it, but when I went back into the store, with his eyes covered with dark sunglasses, I told him I was back for chemicals. Again, he more or less appeared to not be invested in helping me or work in general. Because we needed two full pages of chemicals, according to Leslie‘s computer system, I asked him if he could get me a total? He then gestured around the store and said the chemicals are right there in the store, you can get them. I informed him I actually wondered if he could give me a quote for all of it before we got the chemicals? He again seemed very disgruntled that I even asked him a question. Without communicating at me at all, he started walking around the store and mumbling the chemicals. The first one was a large, heavy bucket, I tried to pick it up and said this is quite heavy. I’ll need you to pick it up. He ignored me and kept on walking to the next chemical. And then mumbled something else under his breath, and I said, excuse me, I didn’t hear you he then angrily hushed me and told me, “I’M TRYING TO MATHING HERE LADY, SSHH AMD HOLD ON!” In front of other customers, and to my face, he basically told me to BE QUIET, he was “mathing“ in his head. He spoke to me in a belittling and degrading and most certainly disrespectful way! I will not be spoken to in that manner, let alone someone I am paying to do his job. I then responded to him, do not disrespect me. He did not respond to that comment at all. He just kept walking around. I then asked him to please give me my paper paperwork back. I informed him I would be getting customer service from another worker as he was being incredibly rude and disrespectful and quite frankly odd with sunglasses on if he is the manager of the Store. He lacked all customer service and basic manners. He crumpled my paperwork up and flippantly handed it to me. In all the years we have been going to the store we have never been treated so incredibly rude! The next day, when I called the store to try and speak to the store manager, as I said above, Robbie told me on the phone that he was the store manager. I then asked him who his supervisor was. He said what my district manager? I said yes, please give me their name. He said “no- we don’t give out that kind of information.” Do not waste your time with this very poorly managed establishment! It is worth noting, Robbie‘s coworker, another young man, helped me get the rest of my supplies that day and was very polite. He asked me what exactly Robbie said, he never mentioned that Robbie was the store manager though. He said- “wow, we definitely don’t talk to customers that way here!” He then went on to apologize for Robbie‘s very poor behavior. If Robbie truly is the manager of the store, he clearly does not care at all about his job or customer service or the reputation of the store. Robbie needs some SERIOUS adulting skills and customer service training. I will be reaching out to try and get a hold of a district manager. This is NOT how you be a professional!!!

I would like to start this post by saying that the Westminster store, specifically the assistant manager, has been wonderful and actually worked to help me.
I ordered a new filter with mount, we all know how expensive that is. I discovered my old filter had a hole and i was losing tons of water from it. I ordered the new filter/mount online to be PICKED UP at the rockville store as that was the only store that had it in stock. One 3 hour drive complete and I am home with my filter BUT as I go to hurriedly set it up and finally get my pool running, I discover they only gave me the tank, base, and center piece of the sand filter. No mount, no flange, no gauges, nothing. I immediately called the rockville store where Bill looked everywhere to make sure there was no missing box and immediately started looking for what store had the parts I needed right away. He was fantastic, but still no parts. I did a quick search and discovered westminster had some of the parts i needed. I was able to get that sorted out.
While on the phone with customer service, I was told I would receive a call from the escalation department on monday when they opened. Here it is Tuesday and still no word so, once again, I called them. Seems like I have to do a lot of extra to receive product I spent quite a pretty penny on. The escalation department was sympathetic and ordered my part.... guess what? Another 3-5 BUSINESS days to get it shipped to me! To say I am absolutely furious is sugar coating my emotions.
Off to skim my swamp while i wait a week for one simple part.
I am so disappointed in the amount of money I have wasted. This will be the last time.
