- DSDavid Scott6 days ago5.0A few years ago, I bought and loaded a bunch of lumber in my truck in the loading area. I tried to leave, but my starter died and truck would not start. One of the Lowes employees came out and took a hammer and socket extension, and tapped the starter and the truck started! I made it home. I wish I could remember his name.

They did not put her on hold, and answered her question within 5 minutes of her calling. Disappointing, but not unsurprising.

I just cannot get behind the craftsman tool line for their durability and their ingenuity. I also have not standardized on DeWalt just because I didn’t like some of the limitations on selection at the time a few years ago. Milwaukee is a far better brand for what I do and Milwaukee is not offered at Lowe’s. But, I came here today specifically to get a key made for a tool box on my truck. Guess what, they couldn’t make it. At least parking was easy. One last thing, I’m taking off one star because I saw no less than 12 staff people passing in the aisles and walking past me as I was standing at the self-serve kiosk for key duplication. Not one single staff member said hello or may I help you or kiss my butt or why are you here. That is not the way you are treated at the other place that sells tools and lumber and home supplies.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order.
