***UPDATE: After the owner responded publicly asking me to call so they could “resolve” the issue, I called again and spoke to the same manager I had already spoken to before leaving this review. Despite the public response, I was still told there was “nothing they could do” and that I would still have to rent another unit and physically move all of my belongings just to stop paying for an unused space. So unfortunately, the response below did not lead to any actual resolution.*****
Very misleading experience. I originally reserved what I believed was a single 10x15 unit, but was actually given two separate 5x15 units as a “package.” I only ended up using one of the units, and when I called to cancel the unused one, I was told I could not do that unless I rented an entirely different 5x15 unit and physically moved all my belongings into it first. That makes absolutely no sense when one of the units was never even used.
What makes this even more confusing is that on the app/account page, only ONE unit appears listed as a 10x15, not two separate units. There was no clear indication during the rental process that this was actually two linked units that couldn’t be separated later.
Very disappointing and unnecessarily complicated. Customers should be clearly informed upfront how these “package” rentals work and should have the ability to release an unused unit without having to move everything again.
