- DDDominique D4 days ago2.0I needed some insulation boards and went first to Home Depot and then went to Lowe's to see any difference. The main one was that Lowe's was offering same day delivery if ordered before 2:00pm for an additional fee of $64.00 I believe, so I went with Lowes. I immediately got an email "we received your order and we will keep you updated along the day (early morning) and then the silence and more silence. I called the store late afternoon and had an associate being snotty to me telling me that I should never count on a same day delivery because they deal with UBER! And most likely it could not be delivered because it was a big item. I mean seriously? If I needed a pack of nails, I would not use delivery! She told me she could not do anything, and it could last for several days, and they can't predict when an uber will be big enough to deliver it since they could not let them know beforehand how big it was. Since I started to be more vocal about it, she decided to get rid of me by transferring me to her supervisor. He told me he was taking care of it. half an hour later, I received an email the delivery was on its way. It was dumped on my driveway and thankfully it was not fragile. Conclusion of the whole thing: nowhere when I ordered it says it will be delivered with uber and it might take days until Uber driver has a car big enough, and last, it's really pathetic that I have to become a bit nasty to get what I paid for: a same day delivery. Will I use them again for delivery? A BIG NO! Next time it will be Home Depot.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
