    I placed an online pickup order on 5/16 around 12:30pm, but the order wasn't fulfilled until around 6:30pm. Although, I preferred to pick up the same day because the following day was going to be busy, I made plans to pick the next day. When I arrived on 5/17, I tried to do curbside pickup but the link that was sent to me by Lowe's was not allowing me to select curbside. So, I went inside to the pickup area and scanned my barcode and waited for someone to assist. I waited a few minutes and no one came over. Then, I pressed the button for assistance and continued waiting and still no one came over to help. I probably waited for 10 minutes and during that time multiple associates walked by or saw me and no one assisted or acknowledged me. I had an appointment that afternoon, so after waiting for close to 10 minutes I finally left and went to home depot to get what I needed. I'll never shop at this Lowe's location again.

    Our family arrived at the Columbia Lowe’s garden center around 6:15 PM after driving 35 minutes specifically to purchase an item that the store showed as having 181 in stock. We even passed at least three other Lowe’s locations to come to Columbia because this store specifically showed the inventory we needed. When we asked the garden center attendant for assistance locating the item, my husband was told he would “call for help, but they were closing soon.” This made no sense considering the store did not close until 8 PM, leaving plenty of time to assist customers properly. After waiting 15 minutes with no help arriving, my husband went to customer service while I stayed behind in the garden center waiting. In total, we spent nearly TWO HOURS trying to get assistance. When an employee named Boba finally came to customer service, his attitude toward us was completely unacceptable. He showed blatant disregard for customer service from the moment he arrived. He was rude, arrogant, dismissive, and ignored not only us, but even the customer service employees who had called him over to assist my husband. When my husband addressed him by name and explained that his wife and child had been waiting almost two hours for help, Boba responded with nothing but back talk and disrespect instead of trying to resolve the issue. As a long-time Lowe’s Pro member, I am completely dismayed by the way our family was treated. No customer should ever be forced to stand outside in 80+ degree weather with their spouse and child for nearly two hours simply because employees do not feel like doing their jobs. By the time Boba finally made a half-hearted attempt to help us, the store was closing, and he refused to retrieve the item that was supposedly in stock. Instead, he offered to ship it to our home for an additional $70 shipping charge rather than simply locating it in the store. Needless to say, after wasting hours of our evening, we left empty-handed. This was one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had at Lowe’s.

    Nana, Marshall & Ebony were FANTASTIC! I came in for a return & ended up in appliances because they were having the most amazing sale & I just so happened to purchase my first home & am replacing all the appliances! Nana was tied up because it was busy with the sale going on but Marshall jumped in & walked me through some things & ultimately helped me make some decisions which as a first time home buyer/appliance shopper that meant the world to me! Ebony finished out my return & she was just an absolute pleasure! I can’t wait to return for my next purchase which I gather will be soon as I keep finding things in the home I’m excited to change & im looking forward to purchasing a new washer/dryer for Memorial Day. My only downside is that my military discount isn’t applicable on appliances. I really don’t think they should dictate where my service matters when it comes to purchasing.

    The assistant manager (Renee) on 5/1/2026 were inexperienced and unprofessional. They made my spouse and me carry a 200-pound stove for nothing when we were trying to return it. We clearly explained that we have a Lowe’s credit card and a 12-month return policy, but they didn’t listen. Instead, they suddenly disappeared without helping us. They also seemed completely unaware of basic customer service policies. What made it even more frustrating is that when we called the day before, another employee told us to bring the item in and that the return would be accepted. It was very difficult not to get upset. The next morning, we took the stove to the Severn Lowe’s, and the return was processed within minutes without any issues. Additionally, the Severn location is much more organized and clean, and their garden section has a wider selection.

    Waiting right now for 10 minutes for a pickup with another person ahead of me. 0 associate support. 2 stars for convenience only, but still should have known better than come to this Lowe's store since the associate support is not existent (had issues with paint department in the past, too). Recommend any others than this one.
