  I entered this very pricey store with an open mind. It felt like Pier 1 Imports meets Asian pop up/vending machine goods. It's not my type of shopping place but I walked the empty other than a few shoppers but loads of employees with wonder why it's here thoughts. I found what I thought was 'Butternut Squash Bisque Soup' and went to the cash register to pay for it. The lady asked if I was a rewards member. I went on to become a member and thought this was a good introduction. What surprised and startled me was the 'would you like to leave a tip'. Are the $100+ lamps not selling enough to pay them adequately? This is the first time I've experienced this in all my shopping years in Anne Arundel County or anywhere else. What made it worse was before handing me my receipt, she glanced over it as if she knew where to check if the tip was added. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this store. The soup tasted nothing like butternut squash and I'll take that loss over disrespect for a tip.

  I finally had the chance to stop into this World Market. I usually go to Rockville but now I don’t have to. I love all the international food products they sell. If you haven’t checked out a World Market, I recommend it. They have a little of everything for many different cultures.

  Nice selection of international items. One employee in particular acknowledged us with a very warm greeting and was very friendly. She later noticed we didn't have a cart (because I came in for one item) and offered to retrieve one from the front for us. She told us not to move and continue shopping and she would take care of it. Her customer service and smiling face was such a breath of fresh air. I believe her name is Tynisha. This type of customer service is seldom these days. She is a gem! Had a great experience shopping here.

  Air conditioning either broken or off… concerned the chocolate could melt. Doubt the employees are happy working in these conditions either.
