Bad experience with Lumber delivery and support. Hardware delivery was fine.
I ordered lumber for a shed, and after showing 'out for delivery', it entered an error state. After two weeks of no proactive updates, 4 calls to support, wading through AI phone trees (if you say "case number" it will actually get you a human), and never getting calls back from the store, I finally got someone to cancel and recreate my order (with wrong quantities for 3 items that I then had to get corrected). So save yourself several hours, rent a pickup for about the same cost as the $80 delivery fee, and pick up the lumber yourself. The actual delivery was smooth, though: online tracking showed how many stops away it was, flatbed truck parked on the main street, driver brough a forklift and put the pallet on my driveway.
In-person lumber purchase was much better, especially because I could see which bin of 2x4s was actually good quality, whereas online you just get stock photos of nice lumber for each of the half-dozen options.
Ordering hardware (hinges, screws, pond liner, etc) worked fine, arrived via FedEx on time.
Social impact of shopping at Lowes seems marginally better than Home Depot; while HD's PAC actually donates less to our wannabe dictatorship, HD's executives do more, and also seem more enamored of big-brother cameras in their parking lots and collaboration with poorly-vetted abductors. Certainly a local hardware store of lumber yard will do better than either.

Same Day Delivery 12 days of no delivery, I eventually had enough and cancelled my order and am going to spend my money elsewhere, multiple tickets were created by 1-800, store employee’s are liars just like everyone else at Lowe’s, customer service said a manager would call me back which never happened. Lowes is a complete and utter joke, hopefully this location shuts down soon so they can put a store that is actually efficient in its place. This ordeal is the reason I will never give Lowes a penny of my money ever again and i will make sure to tell everyone about my experience.
**update** Lowe’s response is just a copy and paste statement leading me back to the exact “contact us” page that has failed to help me on THREE separate occasions. This should tell everyone reading this how Lowes goes about business, LOWES DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS WHATSOEVER.
