I stopped in to buy a few plants, tomatoes, strawberries, and some gardening items. After checking out, I noticed my total was over $217, which immediately felt much too high for what I purchased. I went to customer service and asked them to review the receipt. After the supervisor checked everything, they found that I had been overcharged by about $100 at the garden center checkout. While I appreciate that the error was eventually corrected, I was honestly disappointed by how the situation was handled afterward. There was no real apology, no acknowledgment of how serious a $100 overcharge is, and no effort made to compensate for the stress and inconvenience. I was also surprised that the cashier continued working despite such a major mistake. If I hadn’t trusted my instincts and checked the receipt carefully, I would have lost a significant amount of money.

They refused price matching both Amazon and their website the past two times I have visited, despite the exact same manufacturer product number. Most recently, a lawn mower blade listed for $21.99 on their website rang up for $29.99 in store. They refused to price match - again it was the exact same product. Almost all of the lawn mower blade bins had different color price stickers over the standard white stickers they use. It certainly seems like a local store issue marking up prices beyond their recommended corporate price.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
