I had a really frustrating experience with my kitchen cabinet project at Lowe’s Plainville. What should have been a straightforward job ended up taking 8 months, mostly because of repeated mistakes and poor communication from the designer, Jane.
It started with measurement errors, which led to part of my order being canceled and the whole kitchen needing to be redesigned. During checkout, I was rushed into signing the contract( Jane added 30inch cabinet instead of 33 inch as per the design and I missed it), and Jane even tried to skip applying the 35% Lowe’s promotion until I pointed it out and request a manager.
After that, things kept going wrong. The wrong color cabinets were ordered and Jane said its fixed, and I waited nearly 2 months only to receive the incorrect ones. When I raised the issue, Jane didn’t act on it until I escalated it to the ASM Patrick.
There were also issues where cabinets from my original order were sitting in the store, but only part of them were delivered to me. Jane me told everything had been delivered, which wasn’t true. Again, I had to escalate to get it delivered and refunded unused cabinets.
After that Jane completely stopped responding and didn’t support the project at all. She also misinformed the Lowe’s installation team, which created more confusion, and still refused to step in and help resolve the issues. Even problems like wrong cabinet size, incorrect molding (caused by ordering the wrong cabinet size) were left unresolved unless I escalate.
Toward the end, when I went to return unused materials, Jane again refused to help and gave incorrect information, saying the project was completed months ago when it had actually just finished days earlier. Again I had to escalate to Patrick to get the refund.
To be fair, Patrick (ASM) was very helpful and stepped in multiple times to fix things. I don’t think this project would have been completed without him. I hope he will make Jane accountable for her actions and will not repeat this to another customer.
Overall, this was a stressful and long process. We missed celebrating Thanksgiving and Xmas due to the delays, The main issue throughout was Jane’s design errors, lack of accountability, poor communication, and unwillingness to help even after her repeated mistakes. I would strongly recommend working with someone else if you’re planning a cabinet project here.

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS LOWES! I wish I would've checked the store reviews before shopping here. Go to Home Depot, Ace, or any other store before coming to this one. Customer service is severely lacking! My wife and I decided to purchased a new BBQ grill. We saw that Lowes had a great deal on the Char Broil grills so we stopped by the nearest store. We purchased the grill and told the associate we wanted the grill to be assembled and delivered. We were told it would be ready the next day and someone needed to be home to take delivery. The next day came and no one from Lowe's contacted us about a delivery time. My wife gets a text that the grill was ready for us to pick it up. We call the store and the first time we are transferred to and hung-up on. We call back again and explain to the associate that we were expecting delivery. The associate tells us it's too late for delivery but we can try to come and pick up the grill if it will fit in our SUV. I get to the store and of course the grill doesn't fit. The person at the customer service counter tells me that we have to cancel the order and buy another grill to get delivery or I can pay to have it delivered by a 3rd party company. It was easier to cancel the order and buy a new grill.
I next go to the section of the store with grills and wait for about 20 minutes. There are 2 associates. One guy with glasses and another with a short buzz cut talking and not paying customers attention. I eventually go to one and ask to be helped and the one with the buzzcut asks me " What do I want?" I was close to saying screw it and going to another store but unfortunately the item I wanted is a Lowe's exclusive item. At this point I can see why there are so many subpar reviews. By the way at the customer service counter there was a sign asking customers not to use profanity at the associates. Now I understand why that sign is there! Take your business else where. Its obvious the management at this store doesn't care!
