    This store is a drag upon brand. I've visited this location many times for personal and business purchases, and because I was a design student. Once when I went to purchase a mattress, another customer saw me and starting chatting to a sales woman "I can't believe those people look at things they can't afford.", and she laughed. eeeyuck! On the one hand I couldn't believe it, because minding your business is free, on the other hand that's par for the course in this area. I've held off purchasing from this brand since, even though I know I would prefer their mattress. I may visit the nj location in the future, but either way this location just has a long history of hiring sales associates that are tacky and stupid.

    The best customer service on the planet. We purchased a couch from them in June (the Weber with chaise) and the chaise just wasn't long enough so we exchanged for the Metro with chaise. It was comfy and deep; however the gap between the chaise and middle seat was huge (abnormally so), after a long period of trying different suggestions, moving cushions, dropping and reshaping nothing was working to lessen the gap. I noticed the Weber had a new option of the longer chaise so I reached out about another exchange and they were super accommodating. I sent a few pictures of the issue and they quickly agreed to another exchange. The delivery service people are always fantastic. Every single person I have ever interacted with at the company has been wonderful. The Weber is a dream. A fluffy cloud that feels like it will last forever.

    The cushions on the couch I purchased were not soft and comfortable like the couch on display. The cushions are very hard. I thought I was getting the product I experienced on display. I asked to purchase the floor model but was told I couldn’t. The whole purpose of not buying online is to know what you are getting. Customer Service told me to give it a year and it will be comfortable. I asked if the cushion fill could be changed, but it cannot. Very disappointed.

    Walked in to the Back Bay store to browse and consider purchasing a new office chair, small side tables and other furniture items for some newly renovated rooms in our house since I have an account after purchasing some furniture from the online store for which the delivery and set up were impeccable. Never have I been made to feel so unwelcome in a store!!! The employees avoided eye contact, and one of the them grimaced in response to my smile and immediately looked away. Other potential customers walked in while I was there and were greeted with friendly hello's. Clearly the employees 'judge a book by its cover' and I didn't look like the kind of customer they could be bothered to acknowledge or waste their time on. A striking difference in attitude and customer service from the Design Within Reach store in Cambridge where I bought a beautiful chair last year. If I had known this is how Room & Board treat people who look like me I would never have purchased the bed and storage unit I purchased from them online a few months ago. Their loss!! Annoyed because there were some pieces I really liked and strongly considered purchasing, but on principle I won't set foot in or shop in their store ever again!! Circle Furniture, Design Within Reach, Crate and Barrel etc - all stores where I have been treated in a respectful fashion-- here I come with my hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of business!
