This review is only about the Metarie, LA Lowe's & not the Customer Support Svc 800 chat agents or phone agents. On July 4, 2026 I purchased online a Cordless Push Lawn mower w/Battery & Charger. It is to be shipped to their store next week. I prepaid for this but it did not offer "assembly" that I could add to the order. I contacted via Chat Lowe's support & they tried to assist me with this. But the best they could do was give me a direct number to the store & an 800# for Cust Support if they couldn't help. I called the store# a total of 8 times. Very quick to answer the first 4 times but would pick up & hang up. One time I actually got transferred to another dept. but ended back up in the que again to nobody answering. I finally got tired of riding the roller coaster & called the 800#. Got a very nice & efficient agent by the name of Tenesia that tried her best for me. She couldn't even get them to answer. She finally tried another # for them & got someone. She spoke w/them & explained I was a Sr Citizen & I would pay someone to assemble. The person told her they didn't do that for smaller items like this. But he offered to transfer her to that dept. Ironically, he put her back in the same que I was in multiple times. So I gave up on this & will try to find someone outside of Lowes to assemble it for me. And on a final note, I live 2 miles from The Home Depot. I live 6 miles to Lowes. I would rather give Lowes my business...but Lowes....DO BETTER!

On June 13th I purchased a tube of Schluter Kerdi-Fix and 3 pieces of Schluter DILEX-BWA Dark Anthracite 3/8" trim. I was initially charged $111.13 for the entire order on my PayPal digital line of credit. The trim was a minimum of 3 pieces and shipped to the store via a third-party vendor and the Kerdi-Fix was shipped to my home. I noticed that in addition to the total $111.13 hold on my account, two additional holds were present, one for $34.71 and one for $76.42, which are the products individually, in addition to the total hold of $111.13. I was told by PayPal that the $111.13 would drop off in 3-5 business days, leaving the two individual charges once the trim product was picked up and the one delivered. The Kerdi-Fix was delivered on Thursday June 18th and the $34.71 became a permanent charge. However, when the DILEX-BWA arrived at the store in Metairie, I was notified of a failed payment authorization. Apparently, in addition to the $111.13 master hold, and the additional $76.42 hold for the trim itself, a third authorization was made of $76.42, which exceeded my credit limit on that account, resulting in a payment failure and request for another form of payment. When I checked my PayPal account I saw that the $111.13 initial hold became a permanent charge as well. So I called the local store on Saturday June 20th and told them to cancel the item and while explaining the situation the customer service representative disconnected the call right after the cancellation while I was mid-sentence. Although the $76.42 is still pending and most likely will drop off, I was charged $111.13 and $34.71 for a total of $145.84 for a single tube of Schluter Kerdi-Fix. I now have sent a letter to Lowe's corporate office in North Carolina and to PayPal dispute in Omaha Nebraska. I will make my home improvement purchases at Floor & Decor from now on.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order.
