Shannon was incredibly helpful, informed, patient, and an excellent communicator during what is by nature the extremely process of moving across the country. During the week or so I was accessing my unit to prepare for moving to Oregon, I got to see how diligently, effectively, and quietly Shannon cares for the facility and communicates with customers, from doing the afternoon sweep to helping coordinate drop off and pick up, or simply being an effective site manager and clear, kind, patient communicator. I endorse this facility in the strongest terms possible under Shannon’s management. I can’t express my appreciation strongly enough.

My experience with this ESS location was absolutely amazing. It is my first time renting a storage and the manager Shannon walked me through each of my questions step by step. She was super sweet and I hope to stay here as a loyal customer as long as my storage space is needed. Thanks so much!!

The facility is clean and neat, HOWEVER they claim to have office hours from 9:30 to 6:00pm monday to friday. MULTIPLE TIMES I HAVE GONE INTO OFFICE for various issues to change unit sizes, add person to the lease agreement etc. I reached out to customer service at 1888 STORAGE only for them to say office representative/manager is out sick yesterday and today. This is not a one day problem, this is a multiple occurrence issue with this Hessmer location and the manager/ representative on staff is often "out to run an errand" , "out sick at the end of the day ", "left early " or as I later found out has not been in all day. After multiple call backs to the local number ( rolled over number) this got escalated to another manager, Kurt. Kurt was amazingly able to then switch units over the phone and help us , which we were initially told could only be done in person. Kurt did rectify the situation and did offer good service recovery efforts yet it was only when we requested escalation.
