We are remodeling our home and have had nightmare after nightmare with items that we ordered from this Lowe’s location. I spent over 10 hours on the phone with Lowe’s and manufacturers dealing with situations that should have been handled by managers. One manager today asked me where an item was because an installer was waiting to pick it up! Excuse me sir, I don’t work for Lowe’s!!! Do your job and track it down. The manager told me “I don’t know everything that goes on here.” Well then don’t take a management position. The disinterest in customer satisfaction and customer service is appalling. I will say that a female employee named Sarah went above and beyond trying to help me. Maybe she should conduct training classes for the others!

Lowe’s is just a joke. They have an automated system leave comments so they can make it look like they care about you and resolve situations, but they don’t. I'm never shopping at lowe’s again.
A 48-hour return policy on something that is supposed to last longer than a decade is embarrassing. It’s just the ultra-rich elites from Lowe’s and the manufacturer protecting each other‘s pockets. My brand new $1,000 washer ($1,400 after taxes, protection plan, and delivery fee) just broke less than one week after delivery. I called Lowe’s, and they said, "We can’t help you” and told me to call the manufacturer. Whirlpool accused me of not operating it correctly. She basically said, “Call back if it’s still broken after you use it correctly.” Meanwhile, I’m in my mid-20s, college-educated, and am very familiar with modern appliances and technology. I grew up with touchscreen phones, computers, iPads, etc., and this customer service lady is accusing me of not touching the power button correctly. Very insulting. The washing machine was clearly still broken, so I called back. The representative told me that since it wasn’t currently broken, they couldn’t do anything. The machine won’t turn on unless it is reset, and it gets stuck on the drain cycle for up to an hour after the water has already drained.
During the phone call, I reset the machine so we could go through the mandatory troubleshooting steps before they sent a technician out. Once it turned on, she said, “It’s on now, so it seems fine. We can’t send anyone out until it’s actually broken.”
I explained that the only reason it turned on was because I unplugged the machine, plugged it back in, and then held the button for 5+ seconds to reset it, but she would not accept that explanation and told me there’s nothing she can do.
As a result, I am now stuck in a loop: the manufacturer won’t help me because the machine can be temporarily reset, and Lowe’s won’t help me either. Both benefit by preventing customers from returning defective appliances, thereby saving on shipping costs, open-box depreciation, maintenance costs, etc.
I am so sick and tired of the ultra-rich capitalists hiding behind a customer Service representative (most of the time completely across the world) so they don’t have to take accountability for anything.
