- KVKara VibergSep 15, 20261.0Upon renting my first unit, it was infested with bugs with a stench so horrible... I had shown up with two trucks and hired help, no one was answering the phone. This was afterhours - but I deemed it an emergency as this was NOT what I paid for. The next morning I was back at the storage unit while I waited for someone to get there. I was told, oh we will just blow that out for you.. pictures attached can explain why that was not an option and in no way were mine and my children's belongings being stored in there.. I rented a different unit and got everything moved in. Not so much as an I'm sorry or anything from the manager - just "the work phone is turned off after hours" Fast forward to September. I had told one of the employees there was a medical emergency with my child and I would pay the storage fee weekend of 9/11. I was told, great, that's fine. The manager reached out to me again on 9/9 and I told her the same. The monthly rent and late fee were paid by debit, so transferred instantly to the unit. When I arrived on 9/14 with hired help AGAIN - I had an overlock on my unit. I called numerous times and texted at 11am- no response until 4:43pm stating "lock will be removed morning of Saturday on the 19th" When asked WHY I am locked out of my unit an additional week, my text was ignored once again. This is illegal. I have read through every inch of my lease and no where in there does it say the unit is allowed to hold your things hostage AN ADDITIONAL WEEK - even after payment has been made in full. Business hours state 9am-5pm - yet there is never anyone in the office unless its a Saturday morning. There is no reason why my calls and texts should be ignored, nor why the facility is never manned. The communication and customer service at this location suck. I have been transparent, made payment when I stated I was, lost out on money twice from hiring help, not being able to have the movers unload trucks, and having to reschedule. Now I am being withheld an additional week from a unit THAT I HAVE PAID FOR!!! This business is COMPLETELY unprofessional. I have placed a call with corporate and waiting to hear back from them as well.
