I bought a dishwasher, a stove , and refrigerator from Lowe’s on Preston hwy. and delivery date was Sunday 30th of August . They arrived with refrigerator and stove on the the 30th ( dishwasher came , and was installed with no problems ) and to my surprise “ spirit “ is who Lowes uses as a third party to install their appliances. One of the guys came in, looked behind the refrigerator , and then leaned the stove out , and looked behind that . he then went outside around the corner of the house , and made a phone call to his office , he did not speak good English so he handed me the phone ,and that lady was talking to me in English, and she said that they could not install new the refrigerator because of the copper line and the copper lines are fragile (there was nothing wrong with that copper line that was attached to the ice maker in my old refrigerator that they were supposed to replace with new refrigerator( and now problem 2) come find out there was a problem with the stove of why they couldn’t connect the new one because that delivery guy from Spirit told that lady on the phone that my stove was made in to the cabinet… my house is an older house, and if he would’ve looked in the cabinet where I told him there was a plug that goes to the wall that the stove is plugged into….. The lady on the phone that I was talking to With spirit told me I could refuse delivery ,and if I found someone to fix the problems that they want it fixed then they would come back out ,and install The new appliances that I bought from Lowe’s and haul out the old ones ..

I still have not received my refund of $6,602.74 for a shed that was never delivered or installed after months of no-call/no-shows and repeated rescheduling. Plus a “installer” that lied and never showed up or contacted me and lied to his employers despite me having proof he never did anything.
I was told I would be included in an email chain and kept updated, but I have not received a single email or any communication since my last visit to the store. At this point, it feels like I’m being ignored while Lowe’s continues to hold thousands of dollars of my money.
This is a significant amount of money, and I simply want the refund I was promised and I deserve for never receiving a product. Until this is resolved and my money is returned, I will continue sharing my experience so other customers know what to expect.
•August 3rd.
Still no refund. No response. No help. I have called the number their response had listed so many times and they just keep saying they’ll add a note to my account. That is it. I have gone into the store in person so many times.
Lowes has withheld my $6,602.74 from me.
August 4th update. They said they would only give me a refund, but only with a 20% restocking fee. For a $6,602.74 shed that was never delivered, installed, etc. No. I will not pay for items I do not have/was never given. They tried to get me to sign a release form. I will not pay anything for an item that was never produced for me.
August 6: Still no refund. So as of now I have
•emailed many people
•reported this to the BBB
•disputed the transaction on my credit card
•provided about 90 files of evidence proving Lowe’s never delivered a shed or installed one (voicemails, emails, video, texts, etc)
•have emails with Lowe’s admitting in writing that they know the installer never delivered or installed a shed and apologizing for me never receiving my shed
•further had Lowe’s supervisors verbally admit to me that the installers lied to Lowe’s about delivery, install, and completion
•formally rejected their “20% restocking fee” because I will not pay for anything not actually produced for me
•refused to sign a release form since asking for a restocking fee for a product that was never produced for me
•filed a consumer complaint with the Kentucky Attorney General because they are in violation of the Kentucky Consumer Protection Act
All of this is cut and dry yet they still refuse to give me a refund so I had to further escalate.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase.
