  I purchased a Kobalt weed eater and Kobalt pole saw from Lowe’s a few years ago. I was very satisfied with both tools and even recommended them to others who were considering switching to battery-powered outdoor equipment. My issue has never been with the tools themselves or even the battery, it has been with the charger and the customer service I received when trying to replace it. Recently, I placed my battery on the charger after using it. The charger flashed green, so I assumed it was charging. The next day, however, the battery was completely dead. That’s when I realized the charger had failed. I scanned the QR code on the charger, expecting to find a replacement, but it redirected me to Greenworks instead of Kobalt. I then searched Lowe’s website and found that my charger was no longer sold separately, only as part of a new tool bundle. At that point, I simply wanted to purchase a replacement charger. I wasn’t asking for anything free. I contacted my local Lowe’s, where I was told they could look up my purchase if I had used my phone number at checkout. Since I almost always provide my phone number, I assumed that would be easy. Later, I learned that purchase records are only retained for a limited period and that stores cannot necessarily view purchases made at other Lowe’s locations. Following the advice I was given, I contacted multiple Lowe’s stores, Kobalt, and Lowe’s customer service. Each time, I was referred to someone else. One person said to contact Kobalt. Another said to call Lowe’s corporate. Corporate referred me back to the store. The store referred me elsewhere. Despite spending several days trying to resolve a simple issue, no one was able to help me purchase the replacement part I needed. To do my part, I even contacted my credit card company to request older statements so I can locate my original receipt. Unfortunately, those records are being mailed to me, which means additional delays. Meanwhile, my weed eater has been unusable for days because I cannot charge the battery. My final attempt was speaking with the Campbellsville store manager. I was told there was only a 90-day warranty, even though another associate had previously explained that the Kobalt product carried a three-year manufacturer’s warranty. When I explained that I had already contacted the manufacturer and followed every direction I had been given, I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. I left the conversation feeling that resolving the issue was not a priority. My frustration is not over a warranty claim or trying to get something for free. I was simply trying to buy a replacement charger for equipment I had already invested hundreds of dollars in. Instead, I spent days being transferred from one person to another without a solution. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend purchasing Kobalt battery-powered equipment from Lowe’s if long-term parts support is important to you. The tools themselves performed well, but when I needed help obtaining a replacement charger, the customer service process failed me. I hope Lowe’s will review how these situations are handled. Customers should not have to spend days chasing answers just to purchase a replacement part for a product sold in their stores.   I purchased flooring from Lowes in Campbellsville. They sent John Pruett from Ultimate Home Services. At first I thought he was very helpful, but never came back to finish the job. My floor looks like a patchwork quilt. He didn't put the trim at back door, now rain comes in. Said he would be back but never had. This had been since March. Said he was waiting on a new work order that had never been scheduled. I spoke to Ashley from Lowes where she confirmed their was no work order placed. Said she would put one in. Well that's been a month. Do not have anything installed through Lowes or Ultimate Home Services. Once they get your money, they're done with you no matter how the job looks. Would love to post the pictures of this shotty job but will not let me.
