Dealing with this company has been an absolute nightmare from the minute they got my order set up, all up to today when they finally got their stuff out of my house! At the end of February I went in because I needed a new living room set immediately. Tasha told me that they would be able to have me delivered first thing the following morning, gave me this whole story about the couch she showed me online was in back because she “had just cleaned it herself” but they would have it to me. Come the next day, and mid afternoon I still hadn’t gotten my furniture. I called and was told “sorry they were extremely busy and overbooked and wouldn’t be there until the next day but I would be the first stop. The day came I still hadn’t gotten items by mid afternoon and they were refusing to answer the phone. However; miraculously when I called Corp number they were able to get right through. Fast forward to couch getting delivered, there were holes in the couch, it was 2 loveseats and not a full couch and one was BROKE!! Their repairman came out and said the mechanism was broke needed a new part. I get a call that night from one of the employees and Tasha gave her the ok to replace my couch with the first one I was looking at and she could guarantee it was in “pristine” condition. I get the couch and guess what….IT’S BROKE!! Again their repair man came out and low and behold it’s once again a broken mechanism. This time they were going to order me one and get it fixed, that was March. It never came, I’m sure never got ordered and they never bothered to follow up with any of my requests on it, they wouldn’t answer the phone, and everytime I went in Tasha just so happened to have “just emailed them about it right before I got there”. So I was supposed to just pay for a broken couch. I went somewhere else and got a new one and told them to come get their stuff last Weds and was told they were “very busy” and wouldn’t be able to get it until Monday, so I rescheduled my new delivery and took time off work. I tried going in on Saturday to make sure they had me on the books and although hours posted say they close at 6pm when I got there at 4:30 they were all locked and gone. Another gentleman was there at that time and said the same thing happened last week to him too. Monday comes I call to get a time they were going to be there and was told “they are extremely busy and they can’t do it until Weds”. After a lot of not nice words on my end they told me to call Corp if I have issues. I called Corp only for them to be just as useless and I was told they would have the District Mgr call me “Immediately” Keep in mind that was Monday, today is Wednesday I am still waiting on that “Immediate” phone call. They finally came and got their stuff so I can be done, but never ever will I deal with these lying, unprofessional, disrespectful people EVER again.

I contacted Aaron’s in Topeka on Tuesday at 10 AM right when they opened to schedule a pickup for a couch I no longer needed. The employee at the front desk told me they were “extremely busy” but assured me the pickup would happen either that day, the next day, or by Friday at the latest. It is now Friday, and the couch is still sitting in the hallway of my apartment with no scheduled pickup time and no communication from the store. After multiple days of waiting, Aaron’s is now refusing to come get the couch at all. What made the situation even worse was the way I was treated over the phone when I called about it. After expressing frustration about the situation, the employee became rude and condescending instead of apologizing or trying to help resolve the issue. I was told to “watch my mouth and attitude,” and the representative repeatedly responded with “mkay” throughout the conversation in a sarcastic and dismissive tone. I understand businesses get busy, but there is no excuse for misleading customers for days and then speaking to them disrespectfully when they are understandably upset. This entire experience has been unprofessional from start to finish, and I will be contacting corporate about how this situation was handled.

    1. Tasha is very good at her job. I thank her and appreciate her. If this was a review for her I'd give 5 stars. Trust. 2.Customer Service locally when you call rude and evading. 3. Customer Service through their hotline- take your issue, issue a service #, never call back; email is never a follow up to the original issue. Customer Service is disappointing since we weve been with them for years and paid off a good handful of items. 5. Their delivery employees sat in the room cussing the manager out because they wouldn't answer the phone, referred to me and my mother-in-law as men, we're belligerent and rude talking through me to my non-verbal Austistic spouse without isn't able to make majir decisions for our home on an account that has been mine since before we were married, when attemptingtopick up our furniture indescretely aired our business loudly to the neighborhood. 6. They struggle with accountability. Salesmen lie to you, about you, and for eachother's skin- they are no exception. Other than that- I was told if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all... Oops.
