  I looked everywhere for some parts for my rider, finally found them at Smittys. The people are very professional and pleasant to work with, I have gone here several times and always left happy. Great people to work with.

  Anyone who helps you really does help you. Nice group of workers knowledgeable and so polite. I’ll keep going back for all the help they provide and they print the diagrams when I ask. That is so helpful.

  For the past 25 years I have been a loyal shopper of Smitty's Lawn Equipment. I have purchased two residential mowers from them and have had the mower serviced there every year. Two weeks ago I brought the mower in because the screw holing the handle on the right side broke...so I wanted the screw replaced...paid the $75 deposit...and then I received and estimate for $564.06. It went in for a screw to be replaced but they did a diagnostic on the mower and the blade brake wasn't stopping the blade fast enough. On a Honda mower when you release the handle it turns off, and I did not ask them to do any additional work on the mower. I went to pick up the mower yesterday and they charged me $75 for the diagnostic even though they didn't fix anything and the diagnostic wasn't asked for! Smitty's has lost a long time customer that was probably 1-year away from buying a new mower.

  If I could give 0 stars I would. My timemaster mower has a broken handlebar. It broke where the upper handlebar connects to the lower. It's less than three years old so it falls under warranty. I understand that a warranty fix takes time to communicate with the manufacturer, but this is ridiculous. I went to the service desk today and the guy tried to say that the handlebar doesn't usually fall under the warranty. Then he said it would take 4 weeks just to check if it would fall under warranty, plus another 2 weeks to get it fixed. Then I went to the parts desk to price out a new one. The guy said he had one but that he'd have to find it. I said I'd check blue valley tractor first and get back with him. After calling blue valley, I walked back in and spoke to the other guy at the parts desk. I tried to purchase the handlebar (I didn't want to wait 2 weeks for blue valley) but he said they didn't have any. When I said that the other guy told me that there was one, he told me to "go buy it from him then". If there was another place nearby that I could go to, I would in a heartbeat.
