  I purchase a lot of different things from Lowe's and I hate to say it, but when trying to find out information through Virtual Contact, it sucks

  We had the best experience at Lowes in Olathe on Blackbob Road.Carole and Justin went above and beyond. My husband and I have been doing many home improvement projects. We purchased windows for our entire home through Lowes. They were ordered in March and installed in May. However the delivery driver cut them loose on the truck and a loud crash Occurred and one of our windows was broken. The window was reordered but not expedited. We waited 3 more weeks for the last window. We kept getting updates over the phone with conflicting dates of when it would arrive. I had even asked on the phone if we could pick up the window at the store it was to be delivered to so we would be sure another careless delivery person would not break this one. I could not get a straight answer on the phone about the date or if we could pick it up. Also Lowes gives you a 12 hour delivery window so this meant my husband missing another entire day of work waiting. Yesterday we went to the store to see if they could help us. We were sent to Customer Service where Carole was so nice and helpful. She diligently tracked our order on the computer and called Justin in fulfillment and he worked very hard to find our order and helped us load it. This one broken window has put us behind on getting our house painted and our deck replaced. Carole and Justin have no idea how grateful we are for their help. They have renewed my faith in Lowes. They definitely deserve employees of the month or any other accolade that is possible for them. Thank you Carole and Justin you are amazing!!

  We had some problems with our pickup order but the part time employee who helped us make everything better and she was very knowledgeable about how to resolve our problem. She was kind and understanding. I believe her name was Michelle if I remember correctly. I hope she gets a raise, she deserves one!

  We paid extra for Lowe’s to install our new dryer. Lowe’s failed to install it correctly. They came back once to try to fix it but it still was not installed correctly. Then they refused to come back to fix it. The clothes do not dry properly. The dryer vents partly to the inside of the house because the installers failed to seal the vent properly.

  I am disappointed to write this review because I have had many positive experiences with Lowe’s in the past. I have purchased appliances, including dishwashers and ovens, and have generally found the company reliable. Unfortunately, my recent experience with a toilet purchase and installation was extremely frustrating. The problems began when I attempted to order a specific toilet along with installation service. The store staff struggled to locate the product in their system, and after approximately twenty minutes, I had to take them back to the display area so they could obtain the SKU using a handheld device. A manager was eventually involved, but I was asked to locate him myself in the garden center. After the order was finally placed, the installation was scheduled for two weeks later. On the day of the appointment, the installer arrived but had not brought the toilet. He said he would return to get it. About ninety minutes later, he came back and announced he was ready to begin the installation. I asked whether he had the toilet, and he realized he had forgotten it a second time. He commented that there were significant problems at Lowe’s, turned around, and left without explaining whether he would return. Shortly afterward, Lowe’s called to ask whether the installer was working. I informed them he had left. They assured me the issue had been resolved and that he was on his way back. He did return, but once again without the toilet. Later, Lowe’s contacted me a second time and explained that they did not know where the installer was because he was not responding to calls or text messages. At that point, they offered to reschedule the installation several weeks into the future. I declined and told them I would simply pick up the toilet and install it myself. I was then informed that the toilet was waiting for me at the front service desk. When I arrived, however, the employees had no record of it and no idea what I was referring to. After presenting my receipt and realizing there was still no resolution, I requested a refund and decided to purchase elsewhere. The refund process itself was straightforward, but there was little acknowledgment of the inconvenience or effort required to resolve the situation. To be fair, Angela from Lowe’s corporate office genuinely tried to help and was professional throughout the process. My concerns are directed primarily at the store’s operations. Based on my experience, the Black Bob Road location in Olathe, Kansas appears to be struggling with communication, coordination, and customer service. This was one experience, and others may have different results. However, it was by far the most disorganized retail and installation experience I have encountered. I hope Lowe’s identifies the underlying issues and makes the necessary improvements, because I have always enjoyed shopping there and would like to see the store succeed.
