- SBSharyn Ballard3 days ago5.0I spent almost $300 on crafting supplies to make a gift for a friend who's battling cancer. I've spent 2 hours in Hobby Lobby in Merriam, KS. I have all this stuff in my cart when I hear on the intercom, "We close at 8:00 p.m. You need to come to the front and check out." I had ALL this little pieces of stuff. They were very nice, though, checked me out. Of course, many items weren't tagged, so the poor checker and the manager had to pour over this catalog of all these tiny crafty things to find how much to charge me. I felt so sorry for them. I had forgotten that Hobby Lobby closes at 8:00 p.m. unlike most stores that stay open until 9:00 on the weekdays. The sweet manager waited by the now-locked front door to let me out of the store.
