I call Phillip my General in the Spider War. He has stepped in as a manager at Aptive to take over my now six week battle against brown recluses from a significant infestation. He goes far far above and beyond to cover every base to mitigate infestation drivers, cut down the population, and provide guidance for altering the environment inside and outside my home to keep them at bay now and permanently. He knows his stuff, does his research, and comes back each week with a new tactic—and it’s working. The war isn’t won yet but we’re still at it and would recommend him to anyone!

I have had Aptive as my pest control company for many years and they have been problematic the entire time. They said I would have 4 treatments per year. But they gradually began scheduling the appointments sooner and sooner so that I ended up having 6 treatments meaning I paid several hundred dollars more per year. I called and complained about this many times. They would correct it for a short time and then would begin doing it again. I finally got fed up and called to cancel with them. They talked me into a cheaper rate and INSISTED that I was in no contract and could cancel at any time. I just called to cancel again and they informed me that I am in fact stuck in a contract and there’s no way for me to get out of it. I am furious that after many years of being a loyal customer, they don’t have the decency to let me out of a contract that they INSISTED I was never in. They are a terrible company who will get their money by any means necessary and I recommend that everyone avoid using them!

I did not know when they would show up so when I took my car to the Dealership expecting to be back before 9:00 they arrived. They called me, we agreed they just won’t do the backyard as cat was sleeping on the patio and dog can get out a doggie door so they focused on the front yard sent me pictures. One of the windows Of which they took a picture still had two large spider webs in it when they left. I sent him the pictures and he said “oops I’ll try and circle back and get it “. I do not know if they have come yet. I have a bad knee and I’m supposed to stay off of it. I cannot go outside so I don’t know how they did. Pictures attached. BTW these webs will continue to grow until you return to wipe them up.

They're supposed to call and set up appointments periodically. They don't. I've had to call and arrange them myself. Getting a call is part of the service they're supposed to provide. The tech says I should get a call every 50 to 60 days. It doesn't happen. They count on the customer forgetting and continue charging you $75 a month. It's not a complete scam but it's close.

⚠️ WARNING - don’t trust the sales guy that walks up to your door. Seems like they have it together but Kasyn is pretty slick with convincing you that there’s a glitch in the system and he’ll make everything right. I’ve had nothing but problems since the day I saw this kid. He now avoids my calls and avoids my texts. He convinced me that they addressed various types of problems, however when I selected their basic plan. I noticed that it didn’t include covering mosquitoes. He said that it usually does and said there must be a glitch and he would work to get it resolved…this was outside the context of the contract. He said he’d send me the updated plan information later that night or in the morning. When the technician arrive the next morning, I was already at work and I was texting with him to confirm that he was aware that my plan should include mosquitoes. I also asked about the voles I discussed with Kasyn and I was informed my plan didn’t cover that either. Kasyn and I had explicitly talked about treating for voles but yet, he didn’t inform me the plan I had selected didn’t cover them. So, I’m thinking this is the same issue as the mosquitoes… It’s a glitch and he’s gonna get it fixed. There was a whole lot of confusing texts back-and-forth between me and the tech and then me and Kasyn, the sales guy. Kasyn again promised that everything would be fixed. He was working with his manager, and he would make everything right. The technician actually left and returned later that afternoon. He let me know when he was there and when he was finished and then right after that, I was not only not charged the first time visit fee of $29.99 nor the fee going forward for the plan I selected but I was charged $94, which is the plan above the plan I had selected, which included the mosquitoes and the voles. Again, empty promises and several days have now passed with no resolution. We are past the point of me sticking with this company. I do NOT want service from them. They do NOT conduct themselves professionally. Nothing will satisfy me at this point. I sent the following response to Kasyn days ago. Let’s just say I’m the only one that’s had a bad experience…the company should make this right and leave me with the feeling of them doing what’s right so maybe someday in the future they could gain my business again. ——- In an effort to resolve this matter amicably, I am willing to consider the $94 charge as payment for the initial service that was performed. I am not requesting a refund of that charge. However, I am requesting that no additional charges be made to my account, that any cancellation or early termination fee be waived, and that my service agreement be canceled immediately. I am requesting: 1. Immediate cancellation of my service agreement. 2. Waiver of any cancellation or early termination fees. 3. No further charges of any kind to my account. 4. Written confirmation that my account has been closed.
