Last summer i purchased a dewalt 9 gallon shop vac for my mom so she could use it to help her clean up. I wrapped it up and gave it to her before I left town & didn’t even think about it.
I come to town this year & go clean her basement & I see the Shop Vac sitting in an open box. I asked her about it and she laughed and said “well i know it turns on.”
It turns out that this Lowe’s has accepted a return, did not inspect it to insure the accessories were there, and just put it back on the shelf. Since my mom didn’t open it for use right away she was outside of the return window. Finding just the regular accessories for this shop vac is next to impossible so my mom had just let it sit and collect dust, ironic.
She didn’t tell me because she didn’t want to seem ungrateful. I went online and to other Lowe’s locations and could not find an acceptable option for getting the Dewalt basic accessories.
The staff at Lowe’s was no help when i told them, i even showed them the purchase on my Lowe’s app and I basically got a “sorry about your luck.”
Anyway do NOT shop at this Lowe’s & probably other Lowe’s locations. They are horribly negligent and rude.

Do NOT go to the Lowe’s in KCK on state ave if you prefer your receipt to be emailed to you. Every single time I check out at the garden center the cashier pushes something on the register that bypasses the option for an emailed receipt. Today I went in to purchase some garden supplies and told the cashier I would like my receipt emailed to me before I checked out. After I paid she bypassed the option and gave me a paper receipt. I tried to call and make a complaint which isn’t something I normally do but after years of this bs I have had enough. I was kind to the employee that answered. I said I would like to speak with a manager to file a complaint and she hung up on me. I will not shop at this location again.

This place sucks Everytime I come here. The customer service is horrible. It should feel easy to come up to a worker and ask a question but the staff they choose and the management themselves are all rude and seem like they don't like their jobs. My mom came here a year ago and got stabbed with glass and management was hard to get ahold of and I was on the phone with their representative and they said they were getting ahold of the manager but promptly hung up on me. We never got justice for her getting hurt there and it's ironic because they had like 330 days no incidences have happened and I think it's because they wanted that bonus.
