Very disappointed with the online rental process. The website advertises access starting at 6:00 AM, so I rented and paid for a unit online expecting to be able to use it immediately. Only after my payment was processed was I informed that I would have to appear in person during business hours with my ID before I could access the unit.
Had this requirement been clearly disclosed upfront, I would not have rented the unit. I’m in town for work and cannot easily get there during their office hours, which is exactly why I used the online rental option in the first place.
What frustrates me most is that I’m being charged for a day of storage that I cannot access. Charging customers before they are actually able to use the unit is poor business practice. I understand the need to verify identity, but that requirement should be clearly stated before payment is collected, not afterward.
The facility may be fine, but the online rental process is misleading and creates expectations that the business does not deliver on.
