  There was no star service here . I couldn’t not write a review without clicking a star . I had an 10:00 am appointment today Friday 6/26/2026 . My Uncle spoke to a male on 6/25/26 yesterday around 3:30pm and made the appointment for me . I went in around 9:45am for my appointment . I went in and told the lady behind the counter I was here for my 10:00 am appointment. The lady states we don’t do appointments on Friday's . I told her my Uncle made the appointment for me . I called my Mom I was really upset and told her what happened. I then spoke with my Uncle and he called up to the store and told me to go back in the store. I went back in an the older lady behind the counter stated she was going to charge me a $100.00 to cut a key for my fob but I was told it would be 30.00 that is triple the price . The older lady ask me for , license, and all types of proof of my car . There were other customers coming their service was A1 but was not profiled but was not of color like me . I gave the info she still was rude, wanted to charge me more than three times the amount what I was told on the phone . I felt as the minute I walked in the store I was profiled both ladies especially the older lady was prejudice and did not want to give me the proper customer service because I was a younger black Woman . My family has been coming to Columbia lock and key for decades and to have this type of service was just unacceptable and unimaginable. My family , friends and I will not be giving any business due to the rude and bad customer service. The guy who made the appointment with me went out on an emergency lock out . I drove over 35 minutes and over 30 miles to come to this store in Hammond Indiana it was a waste of time because the service sucks . I would not have wasted my time without make an appointment . My time is valuable I’m a professional and work hard for my money . I left because I was upset and decided to take my business elsewhere where I’m appreciated and treated like I should be . Very Disappointed

  Went in today to simply get a door key and the lady that was working there had a disgusting attitude just because I asked a simple question, never going there again.

  Waited over a half hour when I called the said they would be open. At 1 pm, sign on the door said the same. We left at 1:30. While waiting there were also about 6-7 people that also came, waited, and left. Went somewhere else. Not a good way to run a business.

  Made copies of house keys and car key. I was in and in 5 min. All the keys worked great.
