- PBPaul BurbankJul 17, 20262.0I called Firemaster on a Saturday looking to replace a damaged hot tub cover. I figured it would be the best place as it is where I purchased it. I talked to a salesman and he said he would look up the information and let me know if the one they had was the correct orientation front to back open and get back to me. The next day Sunday 7/12/2026 at about 12:15 talked to salesman again this time confirming the cover was correct for my hot tub. So we drove the hour and 20 minutes there to purchase it for $599.00 Upon arrival I asked for confirmation again and the salesman said yes it is correct. Then as they were putting it in my expedition we asked if they were for sure and yet another confirmation. Drove the hour and 20 minutes home only to find out it was side to side open. Called Firemaster back immediately they said sorry and I would need to return it and they would order me a new one but at $899.00 instead they couldn't and wouldn't honor the $599.00 that i had paid for this one. My wife took it back on Monday 7/13/2026 driving the 2 hours and 40 minutes round trip wasting about $40.00 of our gas and our time and to top it all off when she was driving in the construction area something hit the passenger door leaving huge dent . We wouldn't have gotten the dent if this would have been done correctly in the first place and didn't have to return their mistakes. And all Firemaster had to say was SORRY what customer service. When they showed up they said they couldn’t do it without more people. They rescheduled after I had to call for a week and a half later. Now our pool set empty and the walls bowed in. They showed up with the “same amount of people” and said they weren’t liable because the walls were bowed in. Now we’re looking for a new pool store.
