I bought a power washer here and then immediately found a better price elsewhere. I took it back with the receipt 3 days later and they said they have a 48 hour return policy for outdoor equipment. When I said I hadn’t been notified of the policy, the cashier pointed to a sign with teeny tiny print on the wall. I don’t see any reason why an unopened item with receipt can’t be returned. If they are going to have such a draconian policy, customers should be notified at checkout. I could have brought it back in 48 hours but I had no idea. Will shop at Bloomington Hardware or Menards from now on.

We asked for someone knowledgeable about a specific line of products. We said several times we were willing to wait but they still just grabbed the closest person who didn't really know anything. However the staff were as polite and helpful as they could be.

Went to Lowes to buy a couple of paint samples. The paint guy wouldn't colormatch the fabric I brought with me. He refused to do it. Referred me to paint cards on the wall. That sucked.
Went to check out using Lowes gift cards. I wanted to use the card with the lower balance first. Checkout register wouldn't take it.
The checkout employee instructed me to go to customer srrvice counter. I walk over, politely explain what i wanted to do. Customer serice person couldn't do it. She calls someone else. That guy steps up, i start to wxplain again - but then he turns his attention to another customer behind me. Original checkout person walks up and calls an assistant manager. He can't figure out how to help.
