just left the store earlier today and I was very disappointed with customer service at the self checkout line. I go to the "self checkout" line to do just that. Not to have someone looking over my shoulder watching how and what i check out. After displaying to Debbie that i have a full understanding on how to "CHECK OUT" she proceed to invade my personal space and insist on giving me assistance, when I did not ask for any. Now I get if there is a vandalism or theft problem at this location and you check my items upon checkout which would be totally understandable IF that was the case. But upon me scanning all my items then selecting Military veteran option, I was asked to show my ID. Clearly when I put my cell number in my name comes up on the display. No one should have my personal drivers license to scan in for a simple 10% discount. I'm well aware that I need to scan my own personal drivers license. I could have easily shown her my drivers license but she insisted on taking my drivers license and scanning it in on her own. Again this is not my first time at Lowe's. I am a paying customer who actually enjoy spending my money at the store. However after this interaction with Debbie, I will not be coming to this particular store ever again. if the policy is you have someone at "SELF" check out, checks me out, then what is the point? I will gladly go to the cashier line and have someone check all of my items out if that is the case. Ironically after all that Debbie preceded to give me her card and ask if i could give her a 10 for customer service. I told Debbie it would be better you keep your card because you don't want me to give my survey of how today went.

Although my delivery got delivered to the wrong address, my experience with Lowes was great thanks to James in receiving. He delivered the replacement within 30 minutes making up for his coworkers mistake. I hope you are in management James because your customer service was top notch!

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
