- SSscott5 days ago1.0I WISH I COULD GIVE A ZERO !The bait and switch rate hike is awful! Its a pattern of doubling the rate. I called them and they gave me a $20 discount after Doubling the rate ! They like to act like its just a rate hike that happens sometimes! This is a pattern not cost increase that needs a "rate hike" Jennifer at the store was great she refunded my payment and I just moved to a reputable storage facility that doesn't try and screw people like Extra space storage does! Just dont use them at all and dont buy their "call us so we can take care of it" THEY DONT AND WON'T TAKE CARE OF ANYTHING BUT YOUR MONEY WHEN THEY TAKE IT!!!!

I saw an advertised price for a unit at $50 and spent over an hour on the phone with a representative to confirm it. I even PAID for the unit over the phone and cleared out my old storage space to move in. When I arrived, they refused to honor the $50 price I already paid and tried to force me into a $300 rate instead. When I asked them to give me the unit I had a reservation for, they completely ignored me and tried to send me to a different location miles away. The staff on-site was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When I asked to speak to a district manager to resolve the lie, they refused to help. To make matters worse, it took 3 days just to get my refund back. They lure you in with fake prices, take your money, and then leave you stranded with your belongings and no unit. Save yourself the stress and go to a company with actual integrity."
