What can really be said about a big box store that’s virtually identical to every other Lowe’s in the state? Need a light switch? They have it. The same vendor. The same MSRP agreements. The same pricing you’ll find at Home Depot or nearly anywhere else. Every aisle feels copy-and-paste corporate retail. The executives behind this “innovation” are rewarded handsomely. CEO compensation in 2025 reportedly reached around $25 million, while many frontline employees are making about $15/hour — roughly $490 a week after taxes in many cases — all while putting on their best customer-service smile despite the financial stress many are likely facing. Meanwhile, the people responsible for managing this standardized merchandising operation earn millions more every year for maintaining a system that barely changes from store to store, exact same products and price Hone Depot Lowes Menards. Corporate retail in America: identical products, identical pricing, record executive compensation, and workers still struggling to afford basic living expenses.

I just want to personally thank Kevonte in the door section. We bought a custom therma tru exterior door and he was so knowledgeable and patient with us looking through different options. We shopped around at numerous places and we ended up buying it through Lowe’s because of kevontes service.

I love lowes and you have always been my go to place but boy...their indoor garden center has sure has taken a bad turn. This is embarrasing. Im back to home depot for indoor plants.

What is the value of Lowe's anymore? No more expertise. People spread thin. Instead of investing in assets protection staff, they went from a police station camera with creepy "you are being surveilled" which was meh but now they added flock cameras which means every visit is logged for who knows what in a national database. My gut tells me they might even be using AI to profile people which if so we will find out years from now in a lawsuit. I'll patronize local hardware stores instead. Rather not have the risk of wrongful profiling. Avoid until Lowe's comes back to their senses.

I am doing a project to make my attic into a liveable space. I need about 70 drywall sheets. The problem is my staircase is too narrow and has a sharp bend that will not allow me to carry 4x8 drywall up the stairs. I read on the Lowes website that they offer a service called boom and scatter for 79 dollars. The delivery is through an open window using a boom. 79 bucks sounds like a great deal and it is but there is a catch. You pay the prices from the contractor delivering the drywall. You do not pay Lowes prices. For 70 sheets - Lowes price is $712. The contractor charges $1061. So in reality you are paying a much higher price for the drywall - almost 50%. Nothing on the website spells this out - still having it done because it's worth it for me to pay through higher price.
