The parking lot was virtually empty. Yet I walked in and there were hardly any shopping carts. I asked if they had any furniture and tje sales person told me no I need to buy it online and ha e ot delivered to the store. My question then is, why even have it in theor website if nothing is available in store to try on and see on display?
Yes I did buy the item online l, actually from Walmart. Free shipping, and arrival in two days. Its actually the same item for $10 less.
The point im trying to make is I am willing to pay more for an item, if its in stock, and available for display and viewing in store. Nowadays everything can be purchased online. So customer service also does matter.

Over Memorial Day weekend, I visited this Lowe’s store twice to purchase materials for my garden project. During my visit, I saw a sign for Pavers with 50% off and when I went to the register they said it is regular price.
A store associate was very helpful and acknowledged that although the promotion had ended, the sign was still displayed. He agreed to honor the discounted price. I explained that I needed a large quantity but wasn’t sure how many I could transport at once, so I initially purchased 70 pavers.
I was only able to take 50 in my car at that time and informed him I would return for the remaining 20 and purchase additional pavers. He confirmed this was fine and said he would inform the cashier to honor the same price when I returned.
When I came back shortly after, both the associate and cashier shift ended and they left. I then spoke with Jose (Assistant Manager), clearly explained the situation, and showed my receipt. Despite this, he was unhelpful and gave me a difficult time. He repeatedly insisted I should not have received the discounted price and that associate who gave me the pavers is not a manager (in my opinion he should be the manger to improve Lows service).
This was extremely frustrating, as I had proof of purchase and had been explicitly told the same pricing would be honored for the remaining items as it was just within an hour.
Afterward, I attempted multiple times to contact the store manager. Each time, I was put on hold for long periods, often told “please hold” without even listening to me and they forgot I was on hold multiple times. Eventually, I requested a callback, but it has now been 8 days with no response from the store manager.
Due to the way I was treated—especially by Jose—and the lack of follow-up, I am very disappointed. While Lowe’s promotions are appealing, experiences like this discourage customers from returning. I am planning for a big home improvement project this summer but I will be going to HD not to Lowes. No wonder they have bad reviews.
