I tried to order a new front door, with installation, from the Champaign, IL Lowe's. Scheduling the measurement and ordering the door and handset both went smoothly. I intentionally ordered a door and handset that were in stock at the store, to expedite the process. Then the problems started. First Lowe's decided that even though the store had four of the desired handsets they should order another one. That one got lost or stalled in shipping. If I hadn't looked at the shipping status after ten days that idiocy may have gone longer. After I got Lowe's to correct that unnecessary mistake I was told the installer would call me "within a day or two". At three business days later I called the store and was told that they were gathering everything, and until it was all in one location the installer wouldn't call. Almost a week later I called again and was told the local store was now waiting on a door to be shipped from a nearby store and the installer could not contact me until all of the parts were at the local store. I pointed out that during the call I had pulled up the door on the Lowe's website and it showed three available at the store at that moment. The millwork representative put me on hold and checked. They then admitted that I was correct and they did not understand why the order to a different store was placed. They corrected that, told me everything was in stock and the installer would call me "in a day or two" to schedule. Four days later, now almost a month into this ridiculousness I called to ask why I hadn't heard from the installer and was told that Lowe's has no control over them, as they are a 3rd party contractor. A week after that I called the store and was told the installer would call me by 5 pm that day. The next day, after not having been contacted, I went to the store at 10 am and told the millwork manager on staff that unless he could get the installer to schedule me, pushing me to the top of their schedule, right then and there I would be asking for a full refund (approximately $1800). The millwork manager called the installer and was first told the installer had emailed me the night before (they hadn't) and then that they only schedule "in the afternoon" and they would call me by 5 pm. It was a Friday. I knew I would not be called and would lose another three days (Saturday, Sunday, and no scheduling until Monday afternoon) to Lowe's absolute inability to offer a product and a service to a customer. I got my money back. I went to a certain orange competitor and started the process over. It is now six calendar days later and: * The measurement appointment was scheduled and has occurred. * My order for a door and handset has been placed and verified to be at the store. * The installer has contacted me and scheduled an installation less than two weeks from now. * Even with a more expensive (higher quality) door (~$150 more) and a higher quality / more expensive handset the entire cost is ~$200 LESS than that what Lowe's charged me. Lowe's wasted five weeks of my time, frustrated me beyond belief, showed no interest in resolving the problems or being an advocate for me, and charged more than their competitors. Buyer beware.

I would give this store a big 'O' if I could. I went with the ad paper in hand. The ad for garden soil, buy 3 bags get 3 bags free. I purchased 15 bags which should have gotten me 30 bags total. They wouldn't give them to me, made me buy an additional 6 bags for 12 more bags. This is FALSE advertisement. I will no longer shop with them.

On April 13th, around 2:30 PM, I was at this store. I moved 28 concrete blocks—each weighing 56 pounds. Before I even started loading them, I asked three staff members—including a slightly older woman at the front—to confirm the price: was it indeed $1.68 per block? Only after receiving this confirmation did I begin moving them. I asked, "Is it $1.68 a piece?" a total of seven times. In particular, I asked the cashier at the front desk; she confirmed it three times. I even asked, "Are you 100% certain it's $1.68 per block?" She answered with absolute certainty—and a hint of disdain—that yes, it was $1.68 each. So, I hauled those 28 concrete blocks—totaling over 1,500 pounds—over to the checkout to pay. Then, something dramatic happened: the very same woman I had spoken to earlier suddenly claimed the price was actually over $10 per block. I immediately asked, "Why? You just told me it was $1.68! I asked you three times, and now you're telling me it's over $10?" She then called over a manager, who also insisted the price was over $10 per block. So why—after asking four different staff members a total of seven times—was I repeatedly told the price was $1.68? Even if the listed price had been $100 per block, I would have bought them if I wanted them; however, I simply cannot accept this kind of conduct. To any managers or supervisors reading this: you need to seriously reflect on the negative impact employees like this have on your store's reputation. Speaking for myself—and everyone in my social circle—we will certainly never shop here again. It is absolutely disgusting.

Lowe’s Champaign is a joke. After two associates failed to “come right back” to help me reach an item in above stock, I was frustrated and asked to speak with a manager, and was directed to wait for the store manager at the customer service desk. After I waited, I explained what had happened, and not only was he very unprofessional and condescending in the way he spoke to me, my concerns were not addressed by him at all, and another associate was paged to help me reach it. Store manager did not wait to see if the third associate was on his way to the service desk and left outside of the store. I CONTINUED to wait for this third associate. Safe to say I ended up leaving without purchasing anything. All you had to do was get on a ladder. It amazes me more that store management disregards customer inquiries and issues.

We had a refrigerator delivered to our house this week. Wow! The customer service during delivery was amazing! Lehman Ugueto Sanchez spent time explaining things to me. He took all of the wrappings off with care and was meticulous about the refrigerator looking good. He explained some things about the appliance and wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied with the appliance. He was kind and it was obvious that he cares about his job and making the customer happy! Thank you for your support!
