  Our first time in the store in 15 years and this was our experience. We came into the store on Tuesday last week, my husband was looking for a specific chair and we also wanted to add the large sectional we later fell in love with on the store floor to match. Nolan, was our sales rep. When we first not there, I quickly saw the chair my husband was wanting, Nolan checked inventory and told us that the chair in the color we wanted was in stock. We made arrangements to pick the chair up on Thursday. We got home and I asked my husband, he didn’t have you pay for the chair?? Nolan did not have him pay before we left. My husband arrived on Thursday night after work for pick up and to pay. Somehow, now, the chair is not in stock but is in the warehouse and we can come back on Saturday now to get the chair. My husband paid this time and WAY over sticker now because this is not in stock and they’re now going to add a delivery fee. The $1179.00 chair shot up to $1937.65. My husband paid but was so disappointed. Today comes, Saturday. Like Nolan said. No chair. Again. Come to find out Nolan never ordered it to be brought to Champaign. A woman began to assist Nolan, and she apologized. Nolan then became verbally belligerent with the coworker and yelled “That’s on him” and pointed at my husband. The woman grabbed my husbands arm, apologized again. My husband politely requested a refund and left. We were so shocked by his total lack of professionalism and lack of accountability. While my husband is not a small man, he is very sweet and puts up with a lot. He never raised his voice, never got upset. But Nolan verbally attacked his coworker and then shifted the blame to the customer and ultimately lost the sale. Our original chair was sentimental to our family, it was purchased for me to rock our youngest when he was born 15 years ago. We purchased it from this store too, now, we will never be back.

  Ordered 2 power recliners with. Custom upholstery. Both arrived in about a month as ordered. Was setup and verified the functionality worked. Sales were all pleasant and knowledgeable.

  My family has been loyal to Lazy boy in Champaign for decades. When I had to move back to Urbana due to medical problems. My brother had bought a lift chair at Beck's. It was not a Lazyboy. I told him that I need to be able to sleep in it. He cancelled it I called Lazy-boy and told the lady my problems. I told her my height and that I had 26 falls. I did not know if I may have MS. Non rocking Lift chair just in case I get worse. A rocking power recliner was delivered. When I arrived on 7/2/2024 and sat in the chair I could not get up. My brother and my friend could not get me up. She said that a replacement could be sent 9 days later. 9 days! I was stuck in the chair for 9 days. My brother brought a skillet for me to poop into. From getting stuck in the lift chair for 9 days my feet now drop. When the replacement finally was sent. It did not work much better. I finally found out how to get out by folding up a throw. I emailed her right away that it was not working out. Nope. I could not get ANOTHER replacement. Both times she screwed up. BOTH times! I should have said come and get it and refund my brother. I did not know until I was in Pontiac, IL in February 2024 for Rehab after I fractured my hip, had surgery, and my brother was very sick. I contacted Lazyboy in Bloomington to buy a chair. The lady in Bloomington told me the chair that the Champaign store's replacement was for someone no taller than 5 ft. 3 inches. I was shocked. I later bought an UltraComfort Lift chair from Wright's furniture in Pontiac. Love it and more than half the price. It even has heat and massages. I do not need that, but it was what they had in stock. I was in Pontiac for four weeks The Lazyboy chair was moved into the garage. There it sits. Over $2,000. I wrote to Lazyboy corporation. Nope. I could not get a refund. We will not buy from Lazyboy again.
