My wife went out to a local park to walk our dog, and during the walk, she lost the only key we had for my van—a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. I found Keyme Locksmith through a Google search. 1) When you call, they take down your information and details regarding the service you need. The initial customer service was good. 2) They then make you wait for a call back from a technician. This is where the trouble begins; when you explain your situation, they refuse to give you a quote or service estimate. From what I could tell, they have a specific business strategy designed to ensure they secure the job. 3) When the technician finally arrived—after a wait of OVER AN HOUR—he started spinning a whole story, trying to upsell me on a comprehensive service and charge me an exorbitant amount for it. He quoted me $450 just to make a key for my van—not two keys, but a single one. It’s worth noting that my van is an older model and doesn't even require a smart key. OBVIOUSLY, I DECLINED THE SERVICE. This was because, during an earlier call with a different technician from the same company, I had been told the cost would be around $350. Furthermore, a local locksmith I also called quoted me $250 for two keys plus the service fee. Be very careful when hiring this service. They aren't actually technicians in the traditional sense; rather, it appears to be a network of individuals who call themselves technicians but operate independently through this company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM; LOOK FOR OTHER OPTIONS INSTEAD. I hope this helps you out. Thanks.
