First and foremost, Kyle is great and has always done his best to help me whenever I needed anything. This review has absolutely nothing to do with him.
Extra Space Storage as a company is the reason I am writing this. If you are considering renting a unit for more than three months, please read this review first.
Ever since Extra Space purchased this location, the pricing has become extremely predatory. Your introductory rate WILL increase after only a few months, and there is a very good chance it will nearly double.
I understand reasonable and gradual price increases. Charge me a fair base rate and raise it 10 percent each year. That would be understandable. I was paying around $75 per month for a 10 by 10 outdoor unit. I would gladly pay $100 to $110 per month for the convenience of this location. Instead, after only a few months, they wanted to raise the rate to $150 per month.
There are no yearly contracts offered. According to their online customer service, you can only prepay at the introductory rate for up to six months when you first rent the unit. After that, you should expect the rate to increase significantly.
It appears this company makes most of its money from short term renters and does not value long term customers. For what it is worth, do some research on Reddit and read about other customers’ experiences. You will quickly see that this is not just an issue at this location. It appears to be their company wide business model.
I personally rent a large 20 by 30 unit at an independently owned storage facility for my business. I have been there for around 10 years, and they have only raised my rate twice, both times by a reasonable amount. That is something I respect, and I will now be renting another unit from them for my personal belongings.
It honestly sucks because I liked this location. It is right down the street from my house, and Kyle has always been great to deal with. Kyle, I appreciate everything you have done for me over the past two or three years. Unfortunately, the way Extra Space Storage manages its pricing has forced me to take my business somewhere else.

Kyle is always easy to work with. And so was his cover, never had any issues at this facility. Although I have to be honest, their customer service needs some work.Because you have to press ninety five thousand buttons.In order to get to the actual facility, they should make it easier just to contact the facility directly.
