  My experience with this company has been a total nightmare from the very beginning! First, they cashed my check for the full amount of the blinds prior to the date we agreed upon. Next the lead time was extremely long from the time I placed my order until the time the blinds were delivered and installed. When the crew showed up to install the blinds two of them were damaged, and two of the roller shades were sent without the proper hardware. After many weeks of waiting for the replacement blinds and the additional hardware, the installation crew showed up at my home and began to mount the roller blinds on the interior doors for which they have been designed. The installers then informed me that they had either broken some of the hardware or it wasn’t included, but they could install the blinds and then come back for a third time to complete the installation, once they had the missing parts. Since we had waited so long it seemed logical to have them complete whatever portion of the installation they could. So with much frustration, I authorized them to go ahead with the installation. After several minutes, the installer asked me to come in where he was working. When I looked at my doors I was shocked to see screws sticking all the way through both interior doors. the installer said he was sorry but the screws he uses were too long and he had no idea they would do this. I now had eight screws, extending all the way through and out the other side of my doors. The installer sheepishly said he thought he had some putty and paint and could probably fix his mistake. I responded with a definite NO! After my experiences with Budget Blinds , my trust level was lower than low. I contacted their Meridian office and told them I intended to use my own contacted to repair their damage. After seeing the damage, my contractor determined that all the holes in both sides of the doors needed to be patched, sanded, primed and painted. He sent his estimate to Budget Blinds and to their credit, they agreed to pay the $400 to have the contractor repair their negligence. Once the repairs were completed I scheduled the third installation appointment to have the job completed! I worked with the installation scheduler and had a firm date two weeks in the future. Because of their dismal past performance, I decided to contract their office once again to confirm that they would come on the date scheduled and would have ALL the proper hardware, including the proper length screws, to finally complete the install! Shortly after contacting their office, I received a text message telling me that they had forgotten about the additional hardware that was needed and had to cancel my installation until they could get the proper additional parts. They said they had no idea When they might have the needed parts and they would contact me at some point in the future to reschedule completion of the job. Throughout this whole nightmare experience I tried numerous times to reach out to Daren my original sales rep. However, I was never contacted by Daren and it was apparently now the job of someone in the office to handle my problem account! The young lady was very apologetic, but confirmed there was nothing more she could do that was just the way it was! I now understand why the company is called “Budget Blinds”! I guess you get what you pay for, or in my case maybe not! I spent in excess of five thousand dollars with this company and in my opinion have been treated like my job was insignificant, maybe even a nuisance to them! For me, this nightmare started in April and we are now in the middle of August and I still do not have a complete or successful installation! I have already had several of my neighbors ask me if I could recommend a vendor for their window treatments and blinds. All I could do was explain to them the nightmare I had experienced and highly recommend they DO NOT under any circumstances, engage Budget Blinds!

  Larry was Absolutely fantastic from our free consultation to the install! Everyone we dealt with provided excellent customer service and were very friendly. I felt like they really listened to what I wanted and were respectful of my budget. We were quoted 6 weeks for our custom ordered blinds to be made, shipped and installed but everything was completed in 2 weeks. The installer was amazing & did a great job. We are definitely looking forward to working with them again in the future.

  I ordered blinds about the first part of July. Now here we are a month later. No one is reaching out to me to keep me in the information loop. I spent more than $2700. No texts, no phone calls. I sent an email, and all I was told is they would be here the first week in August. Communication could be improved.

  Larry knew his product lines well and helped us select cellular shades for three areas. We have a challenging arched window, and he offered multiple options, including a creative but simple one which we chose.

  I am very disappointed with my experience with Budget Blinds of Boise & Nampa. From start to finish, the process was disorganized and frustrating. They came out and measured all of my windows, but when the installer arrived, the shade for my door window was too short. The installer never mentioned the issue—I had to point it out myself. To make matters worse, there were three additional windows that had been measured, and I was under the impression they had been ordered. When the installers didn’t install them, I called the office to find out why, only to be told they had never been ordered in the first place. That was a very disappointing surprise after waiting for installation. I also specifically requested that the installers give me about a 20-minute heads-up before arriving so I could be prepared. I never received a call—they simply showed up. Mistakes can happen, but poor communication, ordering errors, and failing to follow simple customer requests made this a very frustrating experience. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Budget blinds of Boise & Nampa
