Aptive Pest Control Recommendation
I highly recommend Aptive for pest control services! I was very impressed with Derreck and the level of service he provided. He was extremely thorough, paid attention to all the areas around the outside of my home, and made sure everything was properly treated. I especially appreciated that he sent pictures of the areas he treated, which showed how detailed and attentive he was.
Derreck truly went above and beyond, and I’m very pleased with the service I received. It’s clear that he takes pride in his work and cares about doing the job right. I will definitely be requesting Derreck for my future services. Thank you, Aptive, for having such a dedicated and professional team member! Odet

Paid for their service and was disappointed. The technicians were a couple of kids that blatantly lied to me about what they had done over text. They left cobwebs all around my yard. I can’t even point out that they did anything to the yard besides spraying they just left all of the cobwebs and we had a lot of them. And careful of the $200 cancellation fee. Luckily you can get 1 service and cancel within 3 days to avoid it lol.

Worst service ever received! Company members came out three times since the start of our contract. Twice the agent spent less than 10 minutes performing the duties. Only sprayed what he could reach on the ground. The monthly cost $79 is not worth the time they spent.Twice the company had no show/reschedule after scheduled appointments in advance. Would never hire this company back. Unprofessional.

Tech just left the wasp nests, 1 was left in the shed, in the garden and 1 on the lawn where my dogs could have bitten into. tech said he smashed them, he did not as I did before I picked them all up and threw them away. Pictures of before and after being smashed. Did not take care of the nest in the bird house as I asked. I had left a birdhouse next to the electrical box and asked that he take care of the next inside. Not knowing it was not taken care of, I picked up the birdhouse to place it back where it belonged only to have wasps come out of it and it scared me and dropped it and broke it. He said he misunderstood me and said they don’t do anything with birds and then said he misunderstood me. Why would I leave a birdhouse next to the electrical box if it did not need attention. Incompetence is all I can say. Also, I cannot stand Liars and Unprofessionalism!! Called the # online and it was someone from South Africa, really??!! Will be canceling my service!

I signed up for Aptive, paying nearly double what my old pest control company charged. Aptive promised better quality, talked about how they spray the entire lawn and can target things like flies and mosquitos. I figured it was worth it to get grade-A service. I signed up to pay for a premium service. This week, on Monday, we had dozens of centipedes in our basement. So we call for an additional service which they do include at no charge. Our sales guys said they would usually come by in 24 hours, sometimes 48. THEY SCHEDULED IT FOR SATURDAY. Then, the day before they were supposed to come out, THEY MOVED IT TO MONDAY. One week to get a respray because the most recent one wasn’t effective? Worst pest control service I have ever had. It’s not worth half what I was paying my old service. Let alone double.
So I called today. Dealt with their crappy AI phone service and finally got someone on the line. They said they were so so sorry and would have the operations manager call me. Never happened.
This business sets the bar really high, then finds a way to go as far under it as possible. They are not even in the stratosphere of setting the expectations they set for themselves.
My sales guy said, when we signed up, that most of the bad reviews on here were from guys ignoring no solicitation signs. That might be true. But rest assured, their service is very deserving of the one star rating from me.
When the Aptive guys come knocking, send them away. They suck.
Update: After posting this review, their social team reached out. They agreed to finally send a tech, and also agreed to credit us one invoice, which is good!
The tech text us towards the end of the day and said he was 30 minutes out - then no-showed. I text him 90 minutes later, said I hoped everything was ok, and he said he had something come up and he would come “tomorrow.”
Then he no-showed again.
This is becoming a bad joke. I have asked Aptive to mutually agree to part ways since they clearly cannot deliver on their promised performance.
We’ll see what they say.

Why am I still seeing pests after my first treatment?
If you are seeing pests right after your treatment, odds are you are witnessing them flee your property, which typically means the treatment is effective. If after a week you are still seeing pests, give us a call and our service professional will gladly return to treat your home at no additional cost.
How much does professional pest control cost?
Our professional pest control plans start as low as $49 to $55 per month for our Basic plan, depending on your location. We offer three primary tiers—Basic, Pro, and Premium—designed to fit different levels of protection needs and budgets.
Do you offer same-day pest control services?
Yes, depending on current technician availability. If you call before noon, we can often provide same-day service for urgent pest issues.
How soon can a technician come out for an emergency?
We strive for 24 to 48-hour response times. For emergencies like a yellow jacket nest or indoor roach sightings, we prioritize your call in our daily schedule.
Do you spray both the inside and outside of the house?
Yes, standard service covers both. We focus on the exterior to stop pests at the source and treat the interior (baseboards/under sinks) to eliminate any that have already entered.
What areas are included in a "perimeter" treatment?
A perimeter treatment covers 3 feet up the foundation and 3 feet out into the yard. We also treat windowsills, door frames, and eaves.
How do I get rid of an ant infestation in my kitchen?
To stop ants, we use "transferable" baits. Workers carry the bait back to the queen, killing the entire colony rather than just the ants you see on the counter.
What is the best treatment for German cockroaches?
German roaches require a combination of baiting, insect growth regulators (IGRs), and sanitation. They are resilient, so 2–3 follow-up visits are often required for total elimination.
Is pest control safe for children and infants?
Yes, we prioritize family-safe applications. By focusing on the exterior and using low-toxicity indoor treatments, we minimize exposure. We recommend keeping children out of treated areas for 30–60 minutes until dry.
What is your "Pest-Free Guarantee"?
Our guarantee means if the pests return between scheduled visits, we return for free. We stay until the problem is solved.
Do you offer free re-treatments?
Yes, all of our recurring plans include unlimited free re-treatments for covered pests.
Why am I still seeing bugs after my first service?
This is the "flush out" period. The treatment is driving pests out of their hiding spots. They will die off shortly after coming into contact with the product.
Why is the pest problem getting worse?
This usually happens with ants and roaches as they are attracted to our baits. This "surge" is a sign that the colony is actively feeding on the treatment.
How can I tell if a treatment was successful?
Success is measured by a steady decrease in sightings and finding dead insects rather than live ones.
Do you guarantee 100% elimination?
We guarantee to control and manage populations to the point where they do not infest your living space. No one can stop every single bug from ever entering, but we ensure they don't stay.
