  Great help, even though he did not have the specialized parts to work on my riding mower, I was helped in finding the problem over the phone and fixing the mower myself. The shop owner did not have to do this, but saved me from a bunch of hassle getting my mower to a distant dealer and a high bill. This kind of business willingness to freely help a frustrated stranger is rare, and I am extremely appreciative and will sing the businesses praises to any I meet.

  Purchased a salvage title vehicle here - those can be great bargains or big rip-offs, depending. This car had been rear-ended but repaired properly - I took it to my own mechanic, who gave it the green light. I have been very happy with it. Nobody here is trying to rip anyone off. They seem to do quality work and drive an honest bargain. The delightful older couple living up the hill, who switched my plates and helped fill out the paperwork, remind me of the folks I meet on Ragbrai. Don't feel like you have to take your business to a big dealer with multiple layers of salespeople and management. There are still honest people out in the hinterlands you can do good business with.
