I was not expecting so many options and variations! Three different staff members helped me during my hour visit l, all were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the plants I was after. And a very nice gentleman even helped me load everything into my car when he saw me struggling to wrestle compost and soil out of my cart. I will absolutely be back soon!!

Had two wonderful young ladies help me find what I wanted and explain the plants that I was unsure of. We have always found Bentley to have what we need. Bentley's prices are also fair.

Good place to get well and healthy plants. Their prices might be a little higher but the size of the plants are larger as well. I will say there’s some confusion regarding how they guarantee the plants. One person told me 90 days and one person said not at all.
I still bought 10 peonies.
Frequently Asked Questions About Bentley Ridge Tree Farm
I have never planted a tree before, do you think this is something I can handle?
Generally, yes. While trees have various factors to consider, our comprehensive planting guide is designed to address most questions that arise during the planting process, making it accessible for beginners.
How much should I be watering my plants?
The watering needs of plants depend on numerous factors. For detailed information on proper watering techniques and plant-specific requirements, we recommend consulting our watering guide.
What is the root flare of a tree?
The root flare, also known as the root collar, is the area where the tree's trunk transitions from trunk and bark tissues to root system tissues. It's located at the base of the tree.
How should I store my tree if I cannot plant it right away?
If immediate planting isn't possible, place the tree in a shaded area and maintain moisture in the root ball. During warmer weather, you may need to water the root ball multiple times daily. For containerized plants, water until you observe drainage from the container's base.
Can I spray round up beneath my trees/ shrubs?
Yes, you can use roundup under trees and shrubs. However, it's crucial to prevent the chemical from contacting the leaves. When spraying near perennials or small shrubs, consider using a protective shield to avoid accidental exposure.
Do I have (whatever problem) with my tree?
At Bentley Ridge, we're happy to examine specific plant issues. However, some problems may require an on-site evaluation by a certified arborist for accurate diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
