  If I could give negative stars I would. Took our 20 year old solid oak dining room table in to be refinished. Said they could match the stain color on the unused leaf, which was a glossy medium oak. When I came to pick it up and it looked orange and the finish was cloudy white. Didn't come close to matching stain color. They said they could strip it and re-strain it again. Second time I came to pick it up the color was better but still didn't match the other leafs. And it still looked cloudy, not a gloss like it was previously. Then they wanted me to pay for the 2nd re-stain. Negotiated to only pay materials for the second time. 6 months later the finish is already worn through to the bare wood in spots. It looks worse after 6 months than it did after the first 20 years. I would never bring another piece of furniture for them to re-finish.

  DO NOT HAVE ANY FURNITURE REFINISHED AT THIS STORE! Had some water marks on a coffee table & end table, so he said he could fix them to match the original finish. Original finish was butcher block colors. He called & said they were done. We went to pick them up & noticed he stained them several shades darker & ALL ONE COLOR; VERY DARK & now doesn't match the rest of the furniture. He then said he that is just the way they turned out. Paid him a lot of money & he said he could refix them for more money. WOW!!!!!

  Won't use him again. We had him strip and refinish a door for a house we are restoring. He quoted a price of $300 to $350, which I thought was pretty high. In the end he charged us close to $600 . . . nearly doubled the price and never called us to say he was going WAY over budget. Workmanship was at best average and parts of the door wood was actually bubbled/damaged. He should have called if he knew that he was going way over his quote. We would have not continued the work. Spent more for him to refinish the door than a new one cost.
